the exact same thing happened to me, you'll find the debt has been wiped as well, the value of the club goes past the 1 billion mark.

and my budget went to 350m but it is now 554m and coincidentally it was my 5 season as well

well, you'll have something to look forward to next season. mine happened at the beginning of December and at the end of the month, but the transfer embargo was still there and they only took it off when they said my job was secure.

that annoyed me because Messi's contract was expiring at the end of that season, so i wanted to offer a contract and see how much i could get it down, but he signed a new contract by the time the embargo came off.

£54M for Neymar is ridiculous! you could have got him for so much less and in my opinion you could've got someone better.

anyway, Tottenham got taken over, they probably have a very, very large budget for transfers. so that'll make the league more interesting.

also the league looked like this:

Arsenal - 36 played - 84 points.
Chelsea - 34 played - 83 points.

they drew against Tottenham and i beat Stoke 7-1 to go 4 points clear, they lost 1-0 to Manchester City and then 2-1 to Stoke. i won the league and i didn't even play. i got Chelsea now, so this should be fun to play them when they've got nothing to fight for and are on low morale.

And Spurs keep getting rumoured to be taken over but it's never come to anything on my game.

Just into pre-season in season 4 now. Squad hasn't changed too much as I'm bringing through the youngsters. Re-signed RVP's contract to £80k despite his stats declining slowly, then PSG came in with a good offer - £15.5 million plus cash for every game he plays up to 30 apps meaning if he reaches 30 games it totals £23.5 million. Reluctantly I accepted. Wilshire came to me with some concerns following the sale so I brought Hamsik to the club for £24 million on £100k p/w.

Sold Mertasacker to an Italian club and bought a 19 y.o. center back called Negro with the money, he is good enough to start and has ****1/2 star potential so I'm happy with that deal.

Still using Bendtner and Walcott as my main two strikers with Hudson and Sonogo as backup. If the right player comes along though I do need a world class finisher as both B & W are inconsistant.

Oh and England lost in the second round of the world cup to Columbia! Capello retired and now Mancini is head coach! Will the FA ever learn? They did offer it to me though which was nice, despite not winning anything thus far myself.

As for the start to your season, thats what I thought when I drew Spuds at home first game followed by Man Citeh away second game. I lost them both though! won the next 4 in all comp thankfully.

How are you doing in terms of yellow cards and fouls as I seem to be racking them up recently. I even have to go to the lengths to manually put each player to easy tackling. I am a disiplinarian in that every red card I fine the player and warn when double yellowed but that happens rarely. Any thoughts?

Wow you don't half take a hard line. Do the players ever claim unfair treatment? I will try the tactical change you sugguest.

With regards to offering transfers - i wish i knew that before as in previous FM's i offered people out for too much and they would kick up a fuss and no-one comes in for them. It seems more realistic this year. Thanks again parmar1993.
