Hibernian FC, formed in 1875 are one of two Edinburgh based clubs playing in the Scottish Premier League. The other capital based club is their main rivals Heart of Midlothian, and the derby is beleived to be one of the World's longest and most played derbies, with 615 matches being recored to date. Hibernian have won the League title on 4 occasions, including 3 in a 4 year period between 1948 and 1952, in which The Famous Five wore the Green and White shirt. Hibs have won the Scottish Cup on 2 occassions and the League Cup thrice, including the most recent in a 5-1 win over Kilmarnock at Hampden Park in 2007. Other achievements that Hibs can boast is a famous 7-0 win away to rivals Hearts, one of the first teams to wear a Green top, and the first British club ever to compete in a European Competition, in which they reached the semi-final in 1956 in which Real Madrid went on to win.


Facilities

Easter Road stadium has been the home of the Hibees ever since they moved there in 1892, and has seen attendences of up to 65,860. The current stadium has a capacity of 20,421 seats. The Leith San Siro' is the 5th largest football stadium in Scotland, with Hampden Park, Celtic Park, Ibrox and Pittodrie, but is one of the most modern with all 4 stands being constructed since 2001.

Summary
Hibs have a good team and are fun to manage. A good challenge to set yourself is to break up the old firm and eventually dominate Scotland and move onto European success. Hibs have undoubtedly the 2nd best finances in Scotland, behind Celtic. The stadium is large enough to bring in good ticket sales and expansion is permitted by chairman Rod Petrie when the finance is available. The other facilities, such as training and youth, are among the best in Scotland, and with a youth recruitment upgrade, you can help Hibs continue to bring through the best talent possible for Scotland.


I would urge you to be patient as the game may be frustrating. But enjoy it and bring the success of The Famous Five days back to Hibernian.

I've just finished my first season with Hibernian, a season I'm pleased with. We finished 3rd in the SPL with 65 points, and despite being 10 points behind the Old Firm, we lost just one more game than both of them throughout the league season - a stat I'm hoping to build on next season.

After a decent start, we slowed down a little either side of Christmas, but then went on a 13 game unbeaten run in the league to rise up from mid-table. Some of the highlights of this run were a 2-1 win over Rangers and a 1-0 win over Celtic, who we picked up 8 points from in the 4 league games.

We reached the final of the League Cup having destroyed Dundee Utd 4-0 in the semis, but were then outclassed by Celtic in the final. We lost in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup on penalties to Rangers, which was made worse by the fact that we were in a leading position 3 times in the 3-3 draw after 120 minutes.

Ahmed Soukouna and Sanchez Watt were the pick of the players going forward, while Paul Hanlon had a solid season defensively, also picking up some important goals here and there. We also brought in a 5 star potential right back through the youth intake selection.

I see Wednesday have a couple of good players in FM 12

Started my second season with a 2-0 home defeat to Inverness but have drawn West Ham in the Europa League 4th round Qualifier, a game I feel we can win!

Mainboy Cheers and yeah we do, good enough to get promotion at the first attempt, and with that I'm sure the board will be happy to put the money in to boost the side on the way to the 'Big Time', which could probably be achieved within 3 seasons...
