4th season with Liverpool, decided to get rid of Agger, Vela and Enrique because they seem very prone to injuries, brought in Schennikov, Shawcross and Eduardo to replace them, also bought Corchia and snapped up Rafinha and Matuidi on bosmans with Gerrard retiring. Had a mixed start to the season, W3 D2 L3, losing to United, Fulham and Arsenal, drawing to West Ham and Birmingham. In Europe though I've played 3, won 2 beating Galatasaray and PSV, loss came to Inter. My starting line-up:

My season has gone from awesome to average now. Pretty much just ruled myself out of the league thats to back to back defeats. My key players have been out for a while: Capel, Matias Fernandez and recently Leandro has sustained a 2 month injury. Izmailov has come back and been fantastic tbf. Jeffren has been poor and will be sold in January! Carrillo has been surprisingly great! he has shite stats but performs brilliantly. Bojinov has been my most consistent player so far 15 goals from 15 games in all competitions.

I want to sign Markel Susaeta in January from Bilbao, hoping I will be able to sign him for around £5m?

Anyone looking a good defensive coach should try Tony Hibbert, in my second season I suggested to him that he should become a coach when he retires from playing and he told me he would be willing to become a coach right away, I decided to take the risk and offer him a player/coach contract and he started out as a 4 star defensive coach, being only 31 I think he should be able to improve a decent bit and become a world class coach for me in the future.

As soon as I get one player back from injury another one gets injured so I havan't been able to get any consistency in the attack! Leandro and Capel have both returned so hopefully this should spark a few chances.

Leandro went to Liverpool on my game and he's scored 27 goals this season and hes still only 23. What a player!

I've just got into January, currently 5th in the league so a poor season so far. Have had a shit load of long term injuries which is completly *bleep*ing up my team. The league is quite close though so shouldn't be too hard to catch up if i get a decent run going. What about you? Porto iirc?

Fulham FC Season 13/14

After last seasons 6th place finish, we qualified for the Europa League...well the Qualifiers anyway. We needed a few players to come in to replace the outgoing ones.

Transfers out:

Released: Dempsey, Hughes, Gecov, Salcido, Senderos, Dembele and Haliche.
David Bentley - 3m to Everton
Kasami - 3.5m to Atlanta

Transfers In:

Mohamed Sissoko - 2m from PSG
Bertrand Dufour (Regen CB) - 1m from Anderlecht
Loic Nestor - 5m from Celtic
Carlos Vela - 4m from Arsenal
Alexandros Tziolis - 3m from Stuttgart
Kwadwo Asamoah - 10m from Udinese


So with alot of players coming and leaving, the Friendlies werent as good as they could be, what with players getting used to the tactic etc.

Friendlies:

Portsmouth 2-2 Fulham
Derby 2-2 Fulham
Ipswich 1-4 Fulham

Instead of playing a few more friendlies, we got Sloboda in the Europa league Qualifiers

Fulham 5-0 Sloboda - Long (3) & Vela (2)
Sloboda 0-3 Fulham - Trotta, Vela & Long

So we beat them fairly easily, 8-0, and proceeded to the next round, where we faced Dnipro, a slightly harder opponent.

Dnipro 1-1 Fulham - Hangeland
Fulham 2-0 Dnipro - Sissoko & Ruiz

so we qualified for the Group stages, and the Group will be revealed later on.


Chelsea 1-1 Fulham - Long

The best start I couldve hoped for given the opponents. Long gave us a early lead and it took until the 88th minute for Chelsea to score, so Its kinda a shame we drew it.

Fulham 2-1 Tottenham - Long & Hangeland

They scored first thanks to Defoe, then Long got another crucial goal. In the 82nd minute big Brede headed the ball in the net to get the winner and our first Home win!

Sunderland 2-5 Fulham - Vela (4) & Ruiz

A demol;ishion derby here as Vela had the perfect start to his career here and bagged 4 fast-paced goals. Im a bit annoyed we managed to conede 2 goals, specially as one was in stoppage time, but at least we scored 3 more than they did!

Fulham 1-1 Watford - Long

I dont know what happened here, terrible. We created the chances, but our strikers couldnt put them away. They are a suprising team though, didnt let us score many.

September:

The Group stages of the Europa league were drawn and we have: Dinamo, Villareal & FC Luzern. I hope we can make it out of this group, most likely as runners up.

Dinamo 1-4 Fulham - Ruiz (2), Nestor & Long

We started the Group off in style with a very good performance. It was 4-0 right until our Defence seemed to fall asleep in the 87th minute, so we pretty much dominated them.

West Ham 2-1 Fulham - Long

What can you say about matches like this other than wow. West Ham had 10 more chances than us, probably due to the fact they were playing with confidence at Home, they truly deserved the win. Long scores yet again!

League Cup - Arsenal 2-0 Fulham

I guess we got shown what they call real football. We got a bum draw, but Im not bothered about this cup anyway.

Fulham 1-4 Man Utd - Long

Long is a beast and cant stop scoring! Shame we couldnt get a draw, but they were too strong for us and our smaller squad. I dont like conceding 4 at Home though.

So after 6 games, we are in 9th place, but I dont look at the Table yet, only when 15/16 games have gone, so no pressure. We started off the Europa league campaign very well and I am still certain I will qualify from this group. A top 8 finish is what im aiming for in the league and I know its possible, its just weather we can challenge the top teams in terms of transfers, as my budget was 10m this season.
