IntroduzioneMilan are the current Italian football champions, and are the most successful club in world football in terms of international trophies along with Boca Juniors, with 18 officially recognized UEFA and FIFA titles.Milan has won four world titles, more than any other club in the world, having won the Intercontinental Cup three times and the FIFA Club World Cup once.Milan also won the European Cup/Champions League on seven occasions, second only to Real Madrid. They also won the UEFA Super Cup a record five times and the Cup Winners' Cup twice. Milan won every major competition in which it has competed, with the exception of the Europa League in which they lost two semifinals. Domestically, with 18 league titles Milan is the joint-second most successful club in Serie A behind Juventus, along with local rivals Inter. They have also won the Coppa Italia five times, as well as a record six Supercoppa Italiana triumphs. Furthermore, Milan is the only team to have won the Serie A without losing a game, doing so in 1991-92 during a 58-match unbeaten run.
La Prima SquadraGoalkeepers:
-
Flavio Roma - Flavio in my opinion is the weakest goalkeeper in the first team and at 37 really has no future at the club. Sell.

-
Christian Abbiati - Abbiati has been a servant to Milan for years, warming the bench when Dida was in his prime. But now he is shining for the Rossoneri and he should be your #1.

-
Marco Amelia - Amelia is a solid backup keeper, a good shot stopper, and is good enough to backup Abbiati in the first season before you look elsewhere.
Defenders
-
Gianluca Zambrotta - Getting on now, should not be first choice at either full back, his experience will provide good back up for the first season.

-
Ignazio Abate - Abate is a class act, young yet showing all the signs of a world beater, he causes any attacker problems and will not be beat for pace. He should start right back.

-
Luca Antonini - Antonini is a fine player, come of his own recently, i preferred Taiwo first season but Luca did just as good in his absence.

-
Taye Taiwo - Arrived in the summer from France, a fast, solid full back and with Abate on the right, these 2 will be hard to beat. Start left back.

-
Mario Yepes - Average. Very old and slow but has all the experience, he didnt feature at all for me and with Bonera in the reserves, you might as well sell.

-
Phillipe Mexes - Another new arrival, starts injured, but will provide great back up for Nesta & Silva if any injuries occur.

-
Alessandro Nesta - A Milan legend. Still so effective, make sure you play him, he will not let you down. Start centre back.

-
Thiago Silva - One of the best players in the team, i do not think there is a better better in the world than this man right now. Start centre back.
Midfielders
-
Massimo Ambrosini - Captain of the club, will still do you a great job for atleast 1 more season. Start centre midfield.

-
Alberto Aquilani - On loan from Liverpool, used as backup for me, but did well when called upon. Do not take up the loan deal when it ends. Can get him much cheaper after.

-
Kevin Prince Boateng - A star man, the Prince is a beast and is capable of turning games around on there head. Start centre midfield.

-
Urby Emanuelson - Doesn't fit into the system and can get quite a bit of money for him. Sell.

-
Mathieu Flamini - A good player, but not needed for me, on a very high wage and you can get £5m+ for him. Sell.

-
Gennaro Gattuso - A true warrior and would die for the club, i kept him on the bench for the first season as he is still capable of a fine job.

-
Antonio Nocerino - A great ball winner and creator and has his fine shots too. A bargain in the summer and will put in good performances all season. Start centre midfield.

-
Clarence Seedorf - The old master is a class act, still got it and can be used brilliantly off the bench.

-
Mark Van Bommel - One of the hardest men in the team, will do anything it takes to win the ball back for his team. Good in the big games but shouldn't have too much of a role to play.
Forwards:
-
Antonio Cassano - Never know what Cassano is capable, very hot and cold, maybe sell him while you can get good money. His value rapidly drops after the first season.

-
Zlatan Ibrahimovic - The main man up front, brilliant target man for goals and assists. Easily 15+ goals a season. A must starter.

-
Filippo Inzaghi - Inzaghi always has goals in him. Not capable of playing week in week out, but brilliant off the bench when you need a goal.

-
Alexandre Pato - One of the hottest strikers on the planet, knows where the net is with great pace and skill. A must starter.

-
Robinho - Like Pato, so influential on the ball, capable of anything, was my star man 1st season winning numerous awards. A must starter.
Stile & FormazioneMilan have changed alot under Coach Max Allegri. They seem to be more of an attacking outfit now with the brilliant amount of firepower given to them by the likes of Pato, Ibrahimovic, Robinho, Cassano & Inzaghi. The key is balancing the team, and with the right formation and philosophy, it can be done. And when done correctly, Milan can be once again, 1 of the most dominant forces in European football. The departure of key play maker and catalyst Andrea Pirlo to rivals Juventus in the summer, was potentially a big blow, but the arrival of Antonio Nocerino for €700,000 has proved to be a great bit of business by the Rossoneri. In terms of formation, i recommend to use a flat 4-3-3 with 3 CM's. With 1 attacking, 1 supporting and the other given a free role in the middle of the pitch. The 3 strikers, i recommend to use the central striker as a target man, the right striker as a complete forward and the left striker as an advanced forward. Here is a picture to try and make things a little clearer with the players in the right positions.

I wouldn't really recommend making any permanent signings in the first season. The squad is strong and more than capable of challenging on domestic and European fronts. Plenty of goals in the team with a front 3 of Ibra, Pato & Robinho and the defence is solid. You could maybe look to bring in another striker if you do decide to help the wage and transfer budgets by selling Cassano, if not, then you are more than well equipped for the season ahead.
Out:
Take a look at the wage bill, which cripples Milan financially. There are so many players on a high wage who will not feature for you. The likes of Flamini & Gattuso are perfect examples. I didn't manage to sell Gattuso first season but he didnt feature at all. So i recommend selling atleast 1 of them, and you can look to get over £5m+ for Flamini which does help. Just have a look for yourself, you will know what you want to do when you get to understand the wages.
I am now currently in my 3rd season with Milan, winning the Scudetto both seasons, 1 Italian Cup, 1 UEFA Champions League, 3 Italian Super Cups, 1 European Super Cup & 1 World Club Championship. If any of you want any screenshots from me, anything at all, then just let me know in here and i will be more than happy to help. Milan can be a fun game trying to blend the youth into the team as well as tackling the huge debts the club face. The Italian teams have been pushed down the rankings in Europe recently, it is time to get them back where they belong.
