team discussion [Team Discussion] Ajax

Been playing as Ajax and part ways through my first season. Signed Kara ($3 mil US), Rindaroy ($2.1 mil), Yttergard ($2.4 mil), Jali ($2 mil).

Here is my starting line up:



I score a lot of goals, but I'm letting in at least one goal a game against any opposition (except the weak Cup teams).

Had this sweet regen come in for Ajax, but the stupid president sold him out from under me.

Just picked up Rene Alder on a free and only paying him 45k a week (US).

Bought a great Brazilian regen, but I have to wait two years before he is old enough to come over. Basically a Gonso type midfielder who will really control the tempo and be super creative.

Ya, it was definitely 2-1 win for me at home, but probably 2-0 away. This year I'm hoping to go a bit deeper, but will see what the draws give me (my group stage is OM, Valencia, and a cream puff team which I thought wasn't to bad)

I run the same formation that jackarmy put on here awhile ago, which is:

I run with attacking and fluid, with short passing (or default in bad weather).

I qualified for the knock out round of the champions league in second this season. Tied OM at home and lost 4-0 away, tied Valencia away and won 1-0 at home, beat FC Salburg home and away.

I had a bit of any injury crisis and that could also definitely be the reason for the slipping form. I lost starting and backup CM, starting RB and LB (at a bit of different times), starting LW. Also I sold Anita during the pre-season (got like $8 and that was to good) so I am really stretched thin at the back. Looking to pick up a starting caliber LB and then a backup player that can play LB,RB,CB. Anyone got any suggestions?

Wow! I just had the greatest season and won the Treble. Super play by Mounir this whole year as he scored 50 goals in all competitions. Here is the league table, Champions Cup Final, and Mounir's stats. I destroy the league.

Now I'm gonna try to sell Mounir for a boat load of cash hopefully because to resign him I had to give him huge goal and appearance bonuses that make his wage ridiculous.
