I've started on an edited database (chrisburns1's to be precise). _________________________________________________ I've only made 4 transfers, 2 of which are youngsters: Spoiler: Transfers I did orignally wish to sign Oscar from Internacional, but they were demanding around £17-18m for him so I settled for a cheaper alternative in the form of Felipe Anderson. It was also extremely difficult to shift the deadwood in the reserves, most offers were loan bids and when a bid was accepted, the players bloody rejected the contract! _________________________________________________ I had a pretty good pre season, I was unbeaten throughout and only conceded 2 goals. Spoiler:Fixtures Sigurdsson was an animal as you can see, he performed fantastically in the role of a trequartista! Spoiler: Sigurdsson _________________________________________________ Lastly, my tactic. This is a very unusual tactic that surprised me with its success. I decided that it was about time I tried out wing backs as Bale would be perfect in that position. Also, the impressive defensive stats from Sandro and Parker made them a perfect pairing in the defensive mid positions. Spoiler:Tactic _________________________________________________ So yes, all is going well and I'm on the verge of the first game of the season. I'll update again after about 5-7 games.

	Haven't posted about my Spurs game yet on here but this happened so I am now. I've just begun my 4th season with them, but I joined them after the 2nd season so it's now 2016/17. Thing is, Levy gave me budget of over £100m for the past couple of seasons anyway which I haven't spent, we've just moved into a new stadium and upgraded the youth facilities and we already have top training facilities. I don't really need any more money. We won the league twice in my first three seasons and the Champions League once, my squad is full of promising youngsters and I can fund any of my future transfers by selling the ageing players in my squad. Although maybe the tycoon will wipe out the debt and hopefully expand the pathetic 49k stadium they decided to build.

	My takeover has been completed so hopefully I should be able to become the richest club in the next couple of seasons. I'm also unbeaten in the league so far this season, quarter final of the league cup, almost qualified from my champions league group despite a 4-1 defeat to Marseille who seem to have suddenly become a world force. This is probably my favourite game this year, probably one of my most successful in terms of building the squad I wanted. At the minute my squad is looking like this: GK: Krul / Jimenez(regen) DR: Walker / Romario DC: Meijs (regen) / Maden (regen) DC: Dede / Chazarreta (regen) DL: Marek (regen) / Duguid (academy regen) MR: Wijnaldum / Jordan (regen) MC: Sandro / Ingrosso (academy regen) MC: Modric / Wanderson (regen) ML: Bale / Jamelao (regen) ST: Leandro Damiao / Welbeck ST: Doumbia / Pindter (regen) I also have O'Connell and Knight who are decent regens from my academy that I'm looking to loan out with Peric and Powell who are a couple of regens I signed on the cheap. Then a few others from my academy in the reserve teams that I'll probably sell on to a championship club in a season or 2. Things are good at the minute. My squad is strong enough that I don't need to sign anyone for a few years, anyone else I get through my academy is a bonus. I may look at selling on people like Bale and Dede for big money if there is any interest, they don't really have an automatic spot anymore so I might as well cash in and concentrate more on youngsters. Bale especially doesn't seem the player he was after missing a fair amount of games with injuries. I might put some screenshots up of some of my regens later once I get a chance.

You seem to have a lot of good strikers though. Modric has been great. Playing him as advanced playmaker > attack he's scored 13 goals last season and usually gets around 10-15 assists per season as well as generally setting up most of my attacks. I have him alongside ball winning midfielders so there isn't as much pressure on him tracking back and getting tackles in. I've just asked the new owner about expanding the stadium and he's agreed to do it so hopefully I'll get a good amount added on. He's also agreed to fund better junior coaching and he's taken it upon himself to expand the training facilities so all is well. I just need some more decent regens of my own to come through now so i can stop worrying about the champions league's home grown players rule. On a down note, I may have just accidentally closed and forgot to save after my last 2 games which just happened to be wins over chelsea then man utd in the cup. cba playing them again. EDIT: My stadium will now be 55k, it's more respectable I suppose.

Try scouting croatia, they seem to have some pretty well rounded regens there How did the takeover do for you reputation wise? He looks a good target man but if you don't use a target man then you'd be better off retraining him. I have a few decent academy regens, they're not as good as the regens I can buy but they'll do for backup and I'll be able to sell them on for a bit in a year or two. I've just increased my funding of junior coaching as well, not entirely sure what it does but I'm guessing it should help the quality of the regens coming through. Croatia does seem to have a few good regens this year, as well as a lot of eastern europe and the usual south americans. These are a few of my better regens, they don't look all that compared to yours but most have broke into their national teams and are almost regulars in my first team. 	Chazarreta looks class, just need to work on his physical stats since he's neither fast nor good in the air. Wanderson and Meijs look good too. 	I personally like to use 2 poachers and then have them swap positions with each other so they're difficult to mark. I don't know what Andersen is like but I would probably have Vuletic as another poacher with Andersen as your advanced forward in the middle. It's up to you though, if they're scoring goals there's no need to change. I don't think I've ever played without wingers. Not too sure how I'd play like that to be honest. You might be better playing with a bit extra width so the midfielders have plenty of space and so you don't get overrun by opposition wingers.
