Celtic Football ClubCeltic FC were founded in 1888 by Brother Walfrid as a way of raising money for Irish Catholics in Glasgow. They play at Celtic Park, the largest capacity stadium in Scotland and are the primary rivals of Rangers, forming the Old Firm. Celtic are defined by their famous green and white hoops strip and the reputation of being one of the most supported teams in the whole of world football.Domestic FootballCeltic are the second most successful team in the history of league football in Scotland, winning 42 league titles since their inception. The team have a greater amount of success in cup competition, with 35 Scottish Cups, the most recent being in 2011, and 14 League Cup crowns. Along with Rangers, Celtic have helped to further the Old Firm dominance of the Scottish game, a run that has been in place for the majority of the past two decades.Lisbon LionsCeltic's famous Lisbon Lions were the first British Team to win the European Cup in 1967 when Jock Stein lead the team to a 2-1 victory over Inter Milan. In their honour, the East Stand is named after the Lisbon Lions whole the West Stand is named in memory of Stein, who died in September 1985.Road to SevilleIn 2003, Celtic reached the UEFA Cup final after defeating the likes of Liverpool, Stuttgart, Celta Vigo and Blackburn before losing to Jose Mourinho's Porto in Seville. Over 80,000 Celtic fans travelled to the Spanish city for the final, many of them without tickets and were well received in the city, winning numerous awards for their behaviour, including the FIFA and UEFA Fair Play awards and were called the 'greatest fans in the world' by FIFA President Sepp Blatter. Recent SeasonsCeltic's success has stuttered in recent seasons, forced to watch the last three seasons to watch their fierce rivals Rangers lifting numerous trophies in Scotland, including the league title all three seasons. Their European record has also suffered, failing to reach the Champions League the last two seasons and failing to progress in the Europa League beyond the group stages. Under Tony Mowbery, the team suffered humiliating defeats to Kilmarnock and St Mirren in the league, the latter being forced out of a job as a result and being replaced by current manager Neil Lennon, who would lead the side to the Scottish Cup but would lose the Co-Op League Cup final to Rangers and the league on the final day.GoalsYour goal as manager of Celtic is to bring success to the cup, your top priority being to win the SPL and the board expects you to win the Scottish Cup. Other targets for the board are, at least, qualification for the group stages of the Europa League while the League Cup is not seen as important but could be re-evaluate depending on your performances in other competitions.Mod Edit: Aug 30, 12 6:07am by Modiga
