	I am just about to start my first game on FM12 this year so my knowledge on players etc but I thought Newcastle could be a fun game. I see many of you have had success with them, so I was wandering if any of you could help me with a mini guide. I am playing on the latest update and only have £3million to spend. I am looking to follow the Newcastle way, attacking football buying relatively cheap players who could either develop or sell on for big profit. Which players should I build my team around? Who should I sell to get some money in? In addition are there any staff I should get rid of and who should I replace them with? I know I am asking quite a bit but having not played FM for 2 years I am out of touch. Cheers

	I think simpson is the weak link in the team, I would play santon at right back and sign a new left back, maybe Cheik M'Bengue?

	After seeing Newcastle flirting with Champions League football this season I thought id give it a go and see if I could get them into the big time. Ive got a three season plan where I would ideally like to win the lot, Premiership, League Cup, FA Cup, Champions League, Community Shield, European Super Cup and the World Club Cup. In the first season I tried to rebuild the defence and offload older players I my key transfers in the first season out were Gutierrez for 10m to QPR, Coloccini for 15.5m to Arsenal and Ryan Taylor for 5m to Wolves I brought in two CBs from Ajax Vertonghen 8m and Alderweireld 4.5m, Douglas Costa 7m, Adam Johnson 6m, Vrsalko 1m, Pogba 7.5, Hutchinson 2.5, Butland 2.5, Branescu 2m and Nathan Redmond 5m After season one I finished 4th and won the FA Cup - during the summer a few more transfers including Boyata 3m, McClean 1.3m Flanaghan 9m, Jack Robinson 7m, Lacina Traore 7m and Macheda on loan I am now worried of Senegal qualifying for the ACON as it would leave me with Macheda up top for 6 weeks on his own - ideally id deal with this in January bringing at least 2 more strikers in on loan. Have started my second season and have qualified for the group stages of the CL (groups yet to be drawn) and my team is: Krul Flanaghan Vertonghen Taylor Santon Costa Ben Arfa Tiote Johnson Ba Ciise I also have a 2nd 11 which I rotate Forster Simpson Alderweireld Hutchinson Robinson Redmond Cabaye Pogba McClean Traore Macheda Im keeping my eyes on a few players id like to bring in notably Cleverly, Welbeck, Sturridge, Oxlade Chamberlain, Wilshere, Hart (currently listed for 17m unhappy with City but cant afford him) so will be just seeing how these players progress and try snap them up in January if they become unhappy like Adam Johnson ------------------- 19 times, and thats a fact!!

	I've just started a game with Newcastle... I bought N'Zonzi for like 5m as I thought he would be good back up. Sold the likes of Ameobi to Wolves for 2.8m Just had a terrible time with injuries and the season hasn't started, lost Krul the day before the first game for 2 months, Taylor is out for the next 3 weeks. To top it off, I somehow lost 4-0 away to Swansea in the first game of the season... Lets hope they buck up their ideas and start playing well...

	Just finished July with Newcastle. Signed Welbeck on loan, Bressan for £1m and Bordachov for £1.3m. Still waiting on Joe Allen to accept his contract. 	I have just finished my first season, after almost blowing it I finished 4th on final day of season. My star performs were Cisse at start of season (form dropped at end dramatically) Cabaye and Ben Arfa were assist machines. Looking to next season I need to improve the squad, I got sanago (Auxerre striker) on a free, and the young attacking midfielder from dinamo zagreb (forgotten his name) I need to reduce my wage bill dramatically. Gary Cahill and Adam Johnson want to join me, has anyone bought them before? What are they like? Bring on season 2!!!

	just decided to get back into FM after a self imposed 2 month break from the game. Heard great things about the mighty toon on the new patch, so gonna give it a go, had tremendous pre-patch success with them, so hopefully will have more of the same! Im thinking about replicating AP's 4-3-3 now with HBA and Ba flanking Cisse, Tiote holding and Cabaye and maybe Eriksen in the centre of the park. Also going to have a look around for a new LB and play Santon right back, any suggestions? hopefully bring in Vertonghen too. 	A little update about my Newcastle save. I'm playing with the January patch and it's been fun. I think they've got a great squad but I have tried to change it up and bring in some bargains as £10m wasn't really enough for me to reshape the defence in the first season. As with all my fm saves I have a lot of trouble selling players as people are never interested in them unless I practically give them away. I did manage to ship out a lot of dead wood though like Guthrie and Best who do nothing. Not willing to let Ba or Cisse go for less than £20m each so they're staying whether they like it or not. I brought in Ruben Yttergard Jenssen for £1m he's been the real steal of the season, he's as good as Cabaye and Tiote (who I don't rate) and has done really well, improved a ton too. I got the easily available Kalou from Chelsea and Paulo Ferreira they've done ok too. Won the FA cup and Carling cup first season and finished 9th. No idea why it let me win the cups but it was nice to see the attacking strategy I use work out well. Starting second season now, hoping for an improvement because I managed to bring in some new players in important positions. Fuchs for left back, Bassong for centre back and Guarin in mid. Have to bargain hunt as the squad is a bit light after releasing virtually all my reserves at the end of season 1. Didn't see the point in giving new higher wage contracts to a mob of awful players that nobody will buy from me, I'm talking about Alan Smith, Lovenkrands, Xisco and co. It's been a fun game so far and apart from injury woes I've managed to get some good play out of them, nowhere near as good as some of you lot who seem to transform them into a CL team in less than a season (like real life) gotta salute Pards really haven't I. 	think i might start as Newcastle as aim for one last big game or maybe a couple before FM13 comes out. After seeing Newcastle just miss out on a champions league place i think im gonna have a crack with them. I normally lose interest after a couple of seasons in the Premier League, but i can see this being a good save an exciting. My aims are: > Aim for a top 6 finish ( more pref top 4 ) first season > Build my own youth and make more players come through the ranks > make a decent profit by selling players. > Get to a worldwide Status And .... Win as much as possible! Will update my squad etc after Pre - Season, along with Transfers
