Don't act so surprised when I say that a Borderlands 2 "Game of the Year" edition just popped up in Steam's database of games. No, no, I know it's completely nonsensical. Why would a company ever package up a game with all of its DLC and then sell it at full retail price? Why would they charge gamers $60 up front and then $15 each for like 8 pieces of DLC just to discount it all severely a year later? It's a terrible world we all live in.
Here's all that will be bundled with the Borderlands GOTY edition:
- Borderlands 2
- Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep
- Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt
- Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage
- Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty
- Psycho Pack
- Ultimate Vauly Hunter Upgrade Pack
- Premiere Club
- Mechromancer Pack
- Creature Slaughterdome
- Creature Dome
I think that covers it all, right? Unless you're a terrible greedy monster who wants a dozen golden keys and all the skins released up to this point, too. In which case, I bid you good day!
Fair warning, if you see Borderlands 2 bundled with the DLC "Season Pass" for a hugely discounted price, I'd jump on that. Odds are this Game of the Year addition may be a little pricier than what current discounts are handing out. That is, if you can survive without the us, Creature Slaughterdome or whatever. Or, just wait it out. Good deals all around this time of year.
Look forward to more information on the Borderlands 2 "Game of the Year" edition soon, most likely for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
