"Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep", the fourth campaign DLC for Borderlands 2 and the final episode on the Season 1 DLC pack, is officially announced. Unless you count the intentional leak of the title some weeks ago as official. Or all the teasers up until now. Anyway, now it's officially official, and all signs point to this being the most robust DLC pack yet. Are you prepared to play Bunkers and Badasses with Tiny Tina?
Basically Assault on Dragon Keep is much the same as previous campaign DLCs. Take your character to an all new area, do the quests and win the game. Only this time it's kind of meta -- you'll play your character as if it's being played by one of the original Borderlands characters (except for Roland) as they're playing a game of Bunkers and Badasses. So it's like a whole new world, only... not really.
It pretends to be a completely different world very well, however, as all enemies are reskinned and act in different manners. There are skeletons with shields and bows, wizards, golems, treants, dragons and all sorts of semi-medieval fantasy badassery. Rumor is there's a gun that shoots swords you can acquire. Odds are Dragon Keep will still have the scope and scale of previous campaign DLCs in terms of length and goals, but the effort gone into the quality of the product looks to be higher than ever.
Borderlands 2's Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep DLC will be available July 25 for around $10, or as the final part of the Season One DLC pack. Now we just need wait for the level cap raise.
