Gearbox's patented reverse marketing campaign for Borderlands 2's latest DLC has come to a close. Rather than announce a game, advertise it and then release it, all of the advertising comes front loaded through social media and "leaks," followed quickly by the DLC's announcement and subsequent release. In other words, Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage is finally officially announced, and it will see release on November 20 across all platforms.
What can the typical vault hunter expect to get out of the second major campaign DLC for Borderlands 2? Well I'm glad you asked, because the answer is lots. Tiny Tina and Mad Moxi will make return appearances, along with plenty of new characters like Piston, Mr. Torgue and bad dudes like Pyro Pete, Motor Momma and the Badassaurus Rex. There will also be a brand new currency for Torgue weapons, and everything else you'd expect like STORY, GRAPHICS and JOKES.
Borderlands 2's second campaign DLC, Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage, launches November 20 on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for the low cost of $9.99/800MSP. Of course, season pass holders will find the DLC available and ready for download as soon as it' unlocked. Let me just finish by saying one more thing: Badassaurus Rex. Think about that. Badassaurus Rex.
There's a special pirate I'd like to see show up again too, but that may be asking too much.
