Sadly, while the four playable characters in-game do have an amount of backstory to them, it's difficult to really get to know them and empathize with their actions. Gearbox is working on changing that with their fifth playable character, the DLC and preorder bonus Gaige the Mechromancer, by leading into her release with a series of audio logs. Be prepared for hilarity. Gaige the Mechromancer will be fully released on October 16, where she will be free for members of the Premiere Club -- membership of which came free for those who pre-purchased Borderlands 2. The Mechromancer's DLC will otherwise cost $9.99/800MSP. Her special ability is the summoning of giant robot D374-TP (Death Trap), which sounds pretty amazing -- at least in text. 	I was worried about how her personality would be, but I'm okay with her youthful, energetic feel. Can't wait to see what other DLC classes they'll make next.

	I really enjoy this character's personality, quite differs from everyone else, with Axton's Snarky even Jock type personality, and Zero being a poet ninja. They have done a stellar job keeping all the characters in their own bubbles of personality.

I'm glad she isn't a redneck though, but a character like that would be funny. ~~Playing as an older version of Tiny Tina would be cool too~~ Haha, the voice actor sounds too much like Tara Strong to me (Shadow of Death). Please tell me it is her, because WOW. If it's another voice actor then I would be surprised. Anyways, great personality and voice acting. I love how she is youthful and energetic like Peach-Child said too. It would of been meh if she sounded too serious methinks. It also would of worked if she sounded older and badass though but was still energetic, but youthful and badass always works really well and I love it. Definitely going to use her, and a lot of people are going to use her even more now. Que the Mechromancer overhaul! -------------------

	Charlie It's not Tara Strong (I think we would have heard about this role if it had been her). No, it's Cherami Leigh. She has a fair sized list of roles, mainly in Anime dubs. 	Sounding good! I can't wait to play her. This is going to sound dumb, but I've been holding out on my singleplayer romp (been tearing stuff up as Maya in co-op with my buddy as Zer0, though) for the simple reason I was reserving my first run-through for Gaige. Seems like the wait will be well worth it! It may just be me but... The female playable characters in the BL series are always super freakin' awesome! Edit: Oct 06, 12 6:09am -------------------

Maybe he can't go up stairs because of his wheels. Abyss Raider I miss playing as Lilith. Phase shift+Go behind enemy+Shotgun= Armageddon. Those where the days.. But yeah, Maya, Lilith, and Gaige are pretty awesome. -------------------

	I totally figured out who the voice actress is for Gaige. Luci Christian! Some of her dialogue sounds exactly like Tenma from School Rumble.
