I've only used one of my Golden Keys. Before I used it I said Prowl could have whatever was inside. I think they were pistols or somethin.
I've got close to 20 Golden Keys left, all completely legit.

My golden keys are just being a nuisance, causing pop-up messages. I wish I could just give it away since I'm rocking all orange gear right now.

I ended up wasting a golden key as soon as I saw the chest in Sanctuary and didn't realise I'd used it until someone explained what it was for. So much for naivety.

I have one left from the shift code.

Completely forgot to post in here, but I did this a while ago with one of my gold keys.

They were decent for a while anyway.

I plan to keep at least a couple of keys for after all the DLC is out, and we have our max level cap. Be great to get some perfect (or nearly so) purples, though oranges might beat most of them.

Don't know if anyone has seen this, I accidentally used my only key at level 6 because I didn't noticed that it was a special chest. For those of us that don't have a million keys, if you exit the game through the xmb the game doesn't save the items. So if you don't get something you want, you can always try again. You have to restart the game but at least you don't loose a key in something you didn't want it. Also make sure the game doesn't save, if you give back a quest or do something important that advances the story you won't be able to retry.

When I used my first key, the game saved automatically.

If the game does that, and you quit to desktop/dashboard/XMB you don't even get the loot that was in the chest, as you didn't pick them up and save.

So yeah, I don't suggest anyone does that unless they're SURE the game didn't save when they used the key.

Thanks Aragorn. I also realize that there is a save point in the same room so one might need to be careful. Like i said i have a couple extra keys so Im willing to give t a try (specialy if i can get another with the Shift code released today)
Also wondering what system you're on?
