	Log in to remove this sponsored message Loved the first game I just started looking up this one and it looks awesome. However I was wondering if certain classes are supposed to use certain weapons or at least are more proficient with them in this game. I couldn't find anything on it. ie. 	Kevin - They're trying to get away from that with this game. Each class can be tailored to whatever weapon(s) you prefer. 	Things have sort of largely stayed the same, Zero is getting a sniper tree, Axeton is still jack of all trades, Salvador is still good with heavies and such. Except rather than directly making a single character really good with a single type of weapon the skill trees are now laid out in such a way that they are as unspecific to weapon classes as possible to give characters much more versatility and uniqueness. So it's no longer "well this is a great sniper so I'll just give it to Mordecai" now it's all dependent on how you choose to build your class as any character. Makes things much more varied and exciting. I'm glad because I wasn't a fan of "x" character works better with "x" type of weapons. 	I think making weapon class specific to a character class actually makes that character more unique from the rest. I wouldn't have expected Brick to be as good of a sniper as Mordecai, for example. Having everyone as jack of all trades kinda makes character selection based on pure appearance. -------------------

I kind of agree with this, but they still have different skilltrees so I guess one character could be better than another with a certain weapon based on what skills you favour. It seems much more based on the individuals playstyle this time around. ------------------- Half of Infinity? Is that a lot then?

	Skilltree along with the character's special ability were two major factors in influencing the character build in the first game. Lilith was meant to be running and gunning and the SMG fit perfectly with her playstyle. Roland's turret provided the perfect decoy/support for him to be an effective mid-range fighter so he could specialize in machine gun. Of course you always had the freedom to build your character into whatever you wanted as long as you don't mind not being able to maximize their combat effectiveness. I'm hoping BL2 will keep things that way. -------------------

	Honestly I will be happy either way they set it up. I did hate feeling like I had to play a certain way with a character because then I never got to play any differently until the next time I played. Which is of course not true because I still could've play another way it just wouldn't have been as effective. 	One thing I liked about guns being tied was when I was playing coop with my two friends we all had different guns we used so when we opened chests it was always easy to decide who got what. If I found a chest and there was a cool SMG I could just call my buddy playing Lilith over. I'm sure there will still be plenty to go around but now we might have to duel it occasionally.
