weapons What Weapons do you want to return (in some form)?

What weapons from Borderlands 1 would you like to see return in some form? Weapons you thought were fun to use, or were particularly useful to you?

I know they're going back to the drawing board with weapons, making pretty much everything new but I'd like to see some personal favorites make a return in some form.

Anarchy - I'd like Anarchy weapons to return at least. They were very much 'in your face' weapons. Excellent with the Siren/Lilith. Also in my experience, they ended duels in a second or so XD

Defilers - These were EXCELLENT weapons against the Lance at least. They were decently damaging as it was, but each hit added to the corrosive effect until the corrosive effect exceeded the bullet damage by far.

Mashers - These are actually popular to a degree. At least, I've heard of people actively searching for them. They're essentially shotgun revolvers. Very useful for aiming for the heads of medium range targets, and the most accurate ones (around 90%) were actually good at a decent distance.

Hellfire - These were awesome against fleshy targets. Like the Defiler, it always proc'd so in a short amount of time the fire damage would far outpace the raw bullet damage. I used these (and anarchy weapons) against the Corrosive resistant lance.

Of course, the above guns were kind of overpowered. Hellfires would destroy fleshy targets and were still pretty good against non-fire resistant/immune ones too.

I'm sure Borderlands 2 will also have some favorite weapons that I'll spend a lot of time looking for too.

It also includes in it, a list of items that never made it into the game. Thanks to the list, I'm actually going to look out for the 'Draco'. I already have a Serpens, but I'd like the cousin as well XD

I liked the concept of Eridian guns, low rate of fire but higher bullet damage is something I actually like in shooters usually. If they didn't blow it would be nice to see them again.

I never really cared for those. Generally made them a lot slower and less accurate.

I didn't mind it on the Serpens though, because that weapon was awesome anyway.

The Volcano snipers were pretty much all I used in a good portion of all my playthroughs. They seemed very common for Orange Weapons, but they did a sexy amount of splash damage to make up for the low impact damage. Then again, I loved almost all of the Snipers in the first game.

Yeah, I liked them too. I used a volcano for over half my most recent character's playthrough (Siren).

They do indeed seem to be pretty common oranges. I've found something like 4 or 5 of them on my current character alone. 6 shot ones are the best, though currently I'm using a 3 shot one that has 1100 base damage.

The only more common oranges that I've seen, I think, are Equalizers. Those rather suck though, so meh.

Not sure what the Shock revolver is (generic? Or was it a red text weapon?). The Corrosive revolver was probably a Defiler. I mention it in the first post, actually. It's a great weapon indeed ^_^
