info New Gameplay hopefully

At PAX East this week. Should be exciting and I really hope its informative. I really won't be able to get enough info on this game.

Here's hoping. I'm eager to see more of Zero's gameplay at least. He's the most interesting to me of the bunch.

Also, it seems Rockets launchers are not shitty this time around. The launcher I saw being used actually took out a fair chunk out of a tough enemy. It also had a size 14 clip (whether it was boosted or not is another matter. Probably was.).

I hope Mashers return, I thought I saw one but it was just a shottie ~_~

Guy also doesn't seem to have mastered the 'reload' mechanic. He only seems to reload when he empties a clip >_> Unless things have changed, it's not like you lose the unspent ammo when you reload a partially empty clip.

Weapons certainly are more distinctive looking. I don't really like how much of the screen they take up though. I can understand rocket launchers taking up a fair portion of the screen, but so do some of the smaller guns.

Wonder what caused the 'screen cracking' effect at 11:52?

On to the Maya one:

I like the trade system. Less chance of things going wrong and items being lost forever.

I really don't like the screen effects, they're way too intrusive. The one on the Gunzerker demo (Screen cracking) was really bad. DO NOT WANT!

I hope the weapon pickup auto-switching will be optional >_>

Seems like phaselock scales to the power/size of an enemy. Larger enemies stay phaselocked for a shorter period of time. The giant monster, 'Blue' stayed phaselocked for about a second XD

Woot! Risque Moxxi pictures at 7:13! They say 'naked pictures' but she's clothed, bit of a gyp >_> For that mission there are options for turning it in. Either to Marcus or Moxxi. So varying rewards and perhaps mission trees depending on your choices?

Seems money and weapon/item values are less ridiculous this time around. Explains why at level 20 they're still only at 4 digits worth of cash, and items are still worth less than 1000. Wonder what the $$$ display cap is this time around?

The person playing Maya seems to have rather delayed reactions. Though at first I thought they were throwing their gun after the enemy was obviously dead because of slow reactions, it seems the person is exploiting the fact that it not only returns the gun to you rather fast, but also returns it fully reloaded. I wonder if they'll be changing the way it does that because of this exploit. Why reload when throwing it is faster AND results in a small explosion?

BTW: I heard that this was PC footage but with the players using 360 controllers.

The new Tediore gun reload system... not a fan of it myself. It seems too cartoony. I understand the games are over-the-top, and believe me, that's what I love about them. But the 'toss a gun, it explodes, you immediately have a new one with a full clip' thing doesn't even come across as an awesome over-the-top thing. It's just crazy for the sake of being crazy.


Maybe that's just me. All the rest looks pretty cool, though. I REALLY do not like the particular location that was shown off because it's all just grey and green, but I'm sure the rest of the places in the full game won't be as bland.
