In terms of the traditional stuff:

D&D Online is free now iirc, could be worth a look but I know nothing about it. Most of the stuff on Steam seems to be kinda...eh for recent releases, Rift ($20+15/mo) was really fun and the only thing that stands out to me for classic MMORPG stuff on that list. But I dropped my sub a couple months ago, it's best described as WoW 2.0 but not straight...better, just different/new. Never looked into the new Star Wars MMO, so I don't know what that's like. As far as I know it's the usual Holy Trinity & Theme Park stuff.

This year there's three major titles being released:

• Diablo 3 (idk price)
  • Don't know anything about it
• Tera (May 1st) ($40+monthly subscription)
  • Translated version from some asian country. It looks...decent I guess (heard rumors both ways). I've been ignoring it, staying away from subscription-based stuff.
• GW2 ($60 up front, no subscription)
  • It's GW2, I'm a huge fanboy about it.

There's a ton of footage up on youtube for those three games, since they've now all had a beta period without any NDA's. So while I could sit here and blabber all day about how much I like GW2's combat system and how natural it feels, or what I found out about Tera/D3's from google, Youtube would probably serve you better as a source.

Diablo 3 is not MMO. It has limited number of players that can be in the same game. I know it looks like WoW but there are many fundamental differences between the two games. Also, Diablo 3 multiplayer is played on battle.net, which is a free service to use. The game itself costs the same as any new PC game and the price is dependent on which country you live in.

If you've played Diablo 2 you'll have a pretty good idea on what Diablo 3 is like. Otherwise there most likely will be a demo coming out either on release day or shortly after so you can try it out. Diablo 2 is an extremely addictive game , and the same can be said for every game made by Blizzard, so I wouldn't expect anything less from D3.

Good piano work is awesome, I have some techno stuff saved that mixes some in...somewhere on my hard drive. It and violins are two instruments I wish were used more often.

I have a pretty odd taste in music, it's a running joke where I work that nobody will ever recognize anything that plays on my mp3 player.
