TIME, like a result of misreading the time zones on an embargo, has leaked three of Nintendo's big announcements planned to come during their Nintendo Direct presentation. Introducing Star Fox Wii U and two new IPs, each without fully official titles. The first is known as Project Giant Robot and the second is Project Guard. The scope and scale of these three games is unclear, but it's almost certain that we'll be hearing more about them during today's E3 2014 Nintendo Direct.
Very little is known about the games right now, but the TIME article did say that these were Miyamoto's three projects. Giant Robot is about controlling huge robots, controlled by angling the Wii U GamePad in front of the TV to shift their weight as they walk. Guard is another GamePad-focused title, where you jump from camera to camera by tapping on the screen to destroy waves of enemies.
Finally, Star Fox! With GamePad-only controls, players have to aim and fire the Arwing's weapons while simultaneously controlling the ship with the joystiq. Tank transformations are also included.
All three of Miyamoto's games sound like tech demos at this point, though of course putting the Star Fox brand on a tech demo is certainly more significant than first meets the eye. Expect more information out of Nintendo's E3 2014 Nintendo Direct event.
