Today, which we unofficially declare Wii U Day, THQ confirms that Darksiders II will be a launch title for Nintendo's upcoming console. Up until now, all the "confirmation" we've had was a quick flash of Death seen in the montage announcement trailer from a few years back.
To sweeten the deal for potential Wii U owners, Darksiders II Wii U will include a good deal of bonus content not found in the original -- without screwing over fans on PS3, PC, and Xbox 360. Basically by "bonus content," we're referring to all the pre-order incentives like weapons and armor, and the recently unveiled "Argul's Tomb" DLC.
If you're wondering about the GamePad, that'll display the map and objectives, while offering quick access to your abilities and invenstory. The Wii U's gyro functionality will also affect evades, interacting with objects, and other character movement such as swimming and riding.
While we can't exactly vouch for a game that hasn't been released yet, the non-Wii U versions are pretty damn solid. May be worth checking out, then, if you've got your sights set on the new console.
