Actually statistically speaking the more he's wrong about all things Nintendo the more chance he'll stumble on being right. It's a simple case of the law of averages if he was wrong about the Wii and other Nintendo products he could very well be right about this based on sheer luck. I hope he's not right though, I don't care if Wii U succeeds or fails but if he's right it'll go right to his head and we won't hear the end of it for years.

When they saw how well motion controls were doing, Sony and MS implemented their own version of them. Sony released the Vita with a touch screen (two, in fact). Would they have done that if the DS and 3DS didn't do so well? I don't think so.

Eh.. You say copy like it is a bad thing. The industry is built on it, companies for centuries have seen ideas, tweaked something and re-launched it as something else. I just don't get why Nintendo fan boys keep harping on about the same thing when it doesn't matter. The industry needs competition and it needs companies re-tooling ideas, I don't care who invented what all I care about is how another company will change and make it better.

Take the TV for instance that has been in constant state of copy and re-tool since the 1900's and we have to thank companies for being so persistent. The same goes for consoles I don't care who invented what I really don't as in the end it's the one that makes it best that gets my attention.

Nintendo the inventor of the analog stick, Sony the one that perfected the way it should work in a design that is still used with a few tweaks to the layout to this very day. Nintendo the inventor of rumble, Sony the ones that perfected internal rumble design which is something still used today. Nintendo invented motion control, Sony and Microsoft tweaked it to differing results but arguably are both more accurate and thus better. That is what I'm interested in, I'm interested in what affects me not what started it.

Sony and Microsoft will have screens. Sony had already vowed last year to expand Remote Play to allow multi-screen gaming. Microsoft announced SmartGlass which allows multi-screen gaming using Android or iOS based tablets. I don't care who did it first I care about who does it best, and right now I think SmartGlass may take this one as the tablet does the external processing so graphics don't have to suffer like with Wii U and that to me is a big deal.
