I finally beat ACIII last night. Kinda underwhelmed, to be honest. I really liked when the game let me do my own thing and loved the setting, but it felt like all the story missions were totally scripted set piece rides and just got on my nerves. It also didn't help that I disliked both Desmond and Connor thoroughly, were the Etzio games better?

I'm moving on to Batman AC now, which is made difficult thanks to having the A. Creed control scheme stuck in my head. Whoops.

I've been on the edge about this game thinking wether or not I should spend $60 bucks on it. This post has helped make my mind up so thanks.

Overall I'm sure which game I should get next.

So far I really like Batman. Only issue so far is how long the hand to hand combat takes, but that may just be me not knowing my way around the combat system yet.

So I'm going to see The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey tomorrow. Was originally supposed to about a week ago, but it's a definite thing now.

Speaking of what we're currently playing, I've not been able to play much lately myself but I am about eight hours into Darksiders. It's a decent game. I feel I need to play more yet to form a proper opinion of it. Also revisited Dead Space a little bit.

So I've rage quit Batman twice today. Not enjoying the combat much at all, which is a shame since I like everything else about the game. May be partly due to my allergies trying to explode today, but still. I'll still hold judgment on the game though, as I've been plenty aggravated by some of my favorite games. I quit Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Metroid Prime for months on end due to frustration, and love all three now.

I'm having the same feelings for the Hitman games (only without the allergies). I find that they're masterfully crafted stealth games (well, not so much Absolution, but I've only played a bit just to see if it works so I'll reserve full judgement for later), but goddamn if they're not frustrating when you realize you've actually made a careless mistake and get your ass beat.

I still need to play the second title yet. I've seen it, but I've not played it. Then again, I'm not sure what the third is going to be like. If I remember correctly, I read something about the game becoming more action-focused with the ability to roll behind cover and whatnot.

Great I'm glad to hear they did a good job with the movie.

Xenoblade owns my soul right now.

*bleep* yeah I wanna see where they go with this!! But yeah, just saw it myself and I thought I'd lay down a few notes

-I like the more down to earth and yet epic tone, like with the slightly cartoony orcs and goblins, as well as some amusing scenes.
-Was the orc leader given a name? If not, I name him Kratos because he seriously reminds me of him. Funny enough, he has more personality than Kratos himself.
-I'm not sure if it's just the size of the screen and maybe watching on a smaller screen would rectify this, but some of the fights had some blurry motions that didn't look all that good, like they were too closely zoomed in or something. It's a shame because the battles were actually rather badass!
