Not expecting much from the roundtable, except for more Nintendoworld and NSMB talk, which I couldn't care less about at this point.

Well guys, here's to hoping that Nintendo holds a Nintendo-only Wii U event sometime in the near future to really showcase what this console is made of. The Tokyo Game Show is in September, which Nintendo never attends. So they might hold their own conference around that time. It's gonna be a long, boring summer for Nintendo fans.

Hopefully they'll focus on questions about the hardware and its capabilities, many of which are still fairly nebulous. I for one think they will unveil Pikmin 3's multiplayer, guessing 4 player co-op. Why else have 4 astronauts?

The annoying thing is that the lineup of games they showed today is pretty solid. They covered pretty much all their bases with content for "teh hardcorz" and "teh casualz", and seem to have a good range of genres to choose from. NSMBU will be a good game, Pikmin 3 will be great, Scribblenauts is great, the more I learn about ZombiU the more it becomes a must buy, Lego City looks fun, its nice to see 3rd party support even if some of it is late, and I believe that Nintendo Land will be a ton of fun to play, especially if Miiverse pulls through. They just didn't have a headliner, or something new and fresh to really make Wii U a must buy, and that's frustrating especially after all the buildup and hype. Honestly, the whole conference would have felt different if we got a teaser for Star Fox U or F Zero U or Smash U, or Mario 3D U, or Zelda U, Metroid U, you get my point. Something that really flexes the systems muscles and shows just how great Nintendo's first party developers are.

It hurts even more since the other conferences were just as bad. Nothing original was shown by any of the big 3, the closest were Sony's stuff, but Beyond looks like Heavy Rain 2 and The Last of Us looks like Uncharted 4. I understand they are different games, but you can't honestly say that the family resemblance doesn't show. And don't get me started on shooterville at the Microsoft conference.

Ubisoft's the only one who brought it this year. What's up with that?

I think I'll get some mileage out of the Zelda game, from what I've read. Seen it described as an on rails dungeon crawler twisted with 4 swords.
