The official Dishonored Twitter account teased an announcement for tomorrow earlier this morning. "News tomorrow," reads the text of the post, accompanied by the image in the header. In case you were quick to dismiss it as just a cool picture of one of Daud's assassins, I'd recommend checking out the people and the setting in the background. Significant events are about to occur.
Disregarding the events unfolding in the screenshot, it appears that players will be taking on the role of one of Daud's assassins, or perhaps Daud himself? While I'd like to assume we won't be Corvo, judging from the screenshot, it's impossible to say he hasn't managed some sort of Outsider time manipulation or something insane. Still, we're likely to see a side of the story we haven't yet.
Perhaps we're to be shown the events that occur between Corvo's return home and the beginning of his quest for vengeance -- a significant gap in the timeline that players may have ignored. Or perhaps we'll get to see a third person perspective of the events of Dishonored from a neutral party.
We'll find out tomorrow! Expect news on what we're hoping to be Dishonored's next DLC bright and early, following up the Dunwall City Trials released in early December.
