In case you haven't been following the Dishonored developer diaries that Arkane has been releasing, it would behoove you to know that they take their fiction very seriously. It should come as no surprise then, that they're starting a web series titled "The Tales from Dunwall" to help introduce gamers to the city and world where Dishonored takes place. Dunwall's first episode, "The Awakening," is now available and it is both attention-grabbing and disturbing -- quite fitting, from what we've seen of Dishonored.
Seriously, just watch the episode, as it does a great job of building the setting and mood of Dunwall without even knowing what sort of gameplay is involved. If this is the story of the science behind Dishonored, I can't wait to see hear more about Dunwall's politics.
The Tales from Dunwall three-episode series was created by Psyop, scored by Daniel Licht of Dexter, narrated by Chloe Moretz of Kick Ass, and is just a taste of the game to come. Dishonored releases October 9 in North America and October 12 in the UK, for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
