whats the easiest way to get skill points?

Average a triple-double, haha. I've got a 6'7" PG that averages 20-20-15 in points, assists, and steals. Putting it on 12 minute quarters is when I really want the skill points though, as I'll pull down 40-20-20 (same categories) stat lines no problem. This nets me a fair amount, usually anywhere from 8000 to 10000 a game.

98 overall for my My Player. Made the Hall of Fame after only three seasons, haha. For Create A Legend, I'm using Andre Iguodala and currently have him at 89 and I'm not yet done with the first season. Been using the same strategy with him that I did with my My Player, haha.

It isn't too terribly hard really. Get a three-point specialist and basically take over as the star of the team by shooting it a lot (the more open you are, the higher chance you have of making it -- especially early on). From there, upgrade only the three-point shot, speed, and steal. After every made basket, camp out and steal the inbounds pass. It isn't too hard to read which direction they are looking to go, so just delay for a second and then jump into the passing lane (going too early will cause them to change directions, leaving an easy inbounds pass) and get the steal. Depending on where you are, you may already be setup behind the 3-point line, leaving you for a wide-open, high percentage shot. Rinse and repeat, and you can quickly rack up steals and points in a matter of seconds. Also, don't be afraid to play off and jump into passing lanes when playing defense regularly.

As you gain more and more skill points and max out these abilities, upgrade things like Consistency (will get you out of shooting slumps, and allow you to keep hitting if you're already hot), Offensive Clutch, and Agility. From there, go for passing to allow for assists, and try to either hit high percentage shooters on the perimeter when they're open, or a big man cutting toward the basket (if you can get a guy like Roy Hibbert, who has no trouble rising up and dunking it quickly before the defense can affect his shot, then it makes this extremely easy) and they'll get the shot up before holding it too long/taking too many dribbles for it to no longer count as an assist. You won't score as much when getting these triple-doubles, but you will have hopefully broken pretty much all of the scoring records while building up to this point.

Feel free to play something like 10 minute quarters for just a little shorter of a game and you can still score a lot. With my Create a Legend with Iguodala, I'm easily scoring around 100 points per game, chipping in 20+ steals and 5 or so of rebounds and assists. Don't have a big man or the consistent shooters on the team that I can dish it to at a high enough frequency to guarantee the triple-dubs yet, so for now I've just been focusing mainly on scoring and steals. Nice little strategy. ^__^

Play key games, upgrade 3-pters to nearly max, make shots, try to average at least a double-double. I use a SG and usually find it easy to get 10 assists and roughly 15-20 points a game as I only play roughly 6-7 minutes a game for getting a fair amount of skill points.

my guy is definetly getting rookie of the year 6'7 point guad 2233 points 456 rebounds and 243 steals tht and hes the only rookie besides rubio

my player in first season is leading in most all star votes and is defenitly getting mvp a rookie of the year

Be more selfish to raise your stats, and play on 12 minute quarters while having the simming be 5 minute quarters. The players that are above you will be given stats from games where they had a lot less time to acquire them, while you'll be able to reap the benefits of a full game. This will help you jump into higher spots on the league leaders, and overall increase your popularity and all-star votes.
