episode discussion Games Ponies Play - Page 2

When I saw the beginning, I thought I had downloaded the wrong episode by accident. Hah! The episodes happened at the same time, lul. What a loop.

Now, what I saw was when the ponies met pony-who-should've-gotten-a-name-but-didn't, and she was clearly not the inspector, I did get a wave of cliché. However, it was no secret to the audience that they'd screwed up. Having the camera pan back to show the actual inspector took away the false mystery that would make some audiences sigh and instead put the focus on our heroes' frantic attempts at their own goals. And that was good.

Also, more character evolution for Twilight. That's very good

OH, and yeah! Dash's father! Awesome! Now the only one without family is Fluttershy. Coincidentally, she's the one with the most fanfics exploring her family, so I guess it's good this way, heh.

I really liked this one. It was great to see more of the Crystal Empire.

It was so awesome seeing Twilight keep her nerves under control. She spent the entire episode being cheerful and calm and adorable, and it was a refreshing deviation from her usual freakouts.

The writers handled the mistaken identity thing really well, as they always do.

Did anyone else hear a bit of a Bronx accent in Cadence's voice when she said "Fortunately, ..." as she revealed the scroll with the headdress instructions on it?

that way, i can see it first, then watch it later in HD so i like it even more! and see things i might have missed the first time around!

When the train arrives at the Crystal Empire and the mane 6 go flying, look at Fluttershy when she's plastered to the wall. She has Twilight's cutie mark.

oh i HATE that. shitty programming on youtubes part. im surprised they havent fixed this, because think about it...leaving it like this means more people have to load things for longer, increasing server load. sure, they have plenty of servers, but why make it cost more, right?

Guys, I've found that clicking the actual bar underneath the timeline kinda prevents it from happening. Try that.

I liked the idea of the overlap, I did want to see what the mane 6 were up to during the Spike episode, after all.

This was just one of those episodes where I go "Oh crap, a case of mistaken identity episode >_<"

Painful to watch in a way, because of that.

On the other hand, I expect S4 will have an Equestria Games episode, so I'm looking forward to that!

That's what I was saying. Because it's revealed to the audience right away that she's not really the games inspector, it's a much better watch. We get to focus on the comedy.
