Oddly, I've actually been watching more Cartoon Network. (And not just more Toonami since they added Soul Eater.) I've actually begun to watch Adventure Time and Regular Show.

When they each started, I watched a couple episodes of both and concluded that they were both stupid not my type of show. However, after hearing repeated assurances that "they got better, dude" (that's not an exaggeration, I have a friend who uses words like dude and totally, fortunately unironically), I was bored out of my mind, flipped to Cartoon Network, saw Adventure Time on, flipped to Nickelodeon (yes, I still check both channels out of loyalty), saw Marvin *bleep*ing Marvin (the show starring the kid who played Fred; if his first show did as poorly as it did, why are you giving him another?), couldn't find anything on any other channel, and decided to listen to my friend. And, don't ask me why or what it was, I became interested in it. And I can say that, at least, I at least perceived it as better than it was before. Then Regular Show came on with similar results. Now I actually have Cartoon Network on the TV on a day besides Friday and Saturday.


Can anyone who watches those shows explain why I disliked those shows early on but not now? Can anyone who watches them pinpoint what's different?


And don't worry about being rubbish; I got votekicked from a Boot Camp server today because I was playing Scout and I kept dying before I could get money. I fail to see how that's entirely my fault; yes, I know there's likely some finesse I haven't mastered to help me avoid a painful death by robot Heavies, but you guys aren't exactly killing them all. I'm using the Mad Milk/Fan O' War combo I always see praised, what else do you want me to do? It's *bleep*ing Boot Camp, it's not like we're actually protecting Mann Co. [/rant] Everybody sucks, not just you, don't worry.

I'm not really all that bad. Just everyone else seems to be better. I'm decent in Mann vs. Machine, I guess since I'm going against bots rather than human players. I can sorta hold my own in the other modes as a soldier, heavy, or pyro, but my limited list of weapons means I'm restricted to pretty basic tactics. I've done fairly well as a medic, did decent as an engineer once or twice, but give me a spy, scout, sniper or demoman and I'm a serious liability to my team.

Anyways, work early tomorrow so I'd best sign off.

playing battle medic in mvm is op with a blutsauger, once you have upgraded the ammo, firing rate, and crit protection. get explosion resistance upgraded as well, and you can just stand there, taking all the hits.

pyro sucks against tanks, though. best thing to use is a heavy with warriors spirit and fully upgraded swing rate. especially if kritzed.

Huh. I really would've expected Short Circuit to get disabled first here.

I didn't get my profile banned, but I just got three notifications; a moderator edited three posts (one was mine, two were replies) that were made in August 2010. They really are cracking down. Shit, this forum is gonna get locked up if that's all it takes.

Okay guys, I'm going to attempt to download a 1 Gig file. Wish me luck...

I just hope that it goes smoothly. The last thing I want is the download to fail when I'm at 80% or something.

Does anyone know a way to salvage files if this happens? Or do I have to restart it from the beginning?

Okay, so my connection failed at 90%. I now have a 900 MB .PART file sitting on my desktop.

*bleep*.

So then I started searching for some program that could salvage my download, and after about half an hour, I found GetRight. I fiddled with it, experimented with the options, and I found the download resumer.

I... I think it's actually working...

always use a download resumer. downthemall is a good extension for firefox. getright should work as well, but i think the problem was from using it after the download failed.
