this chapter took twice as long to do as normal. only just finished my draft. i might have it in the next couple of days.

...i still havent come up with a title for it

nah, i just prefer to come up with the title after the chapter. id rather make the title around the chapter, rather than make the chapter around the title. lets me focus on the story and not worry about whether the title is relevant enough. in any case, i came up with a title five minutes after posting that

my process for new chapters:

- type linearly (ie with the flow of the story) with no regard for spelling, grammar, word usage, or anything other than creating the actual storyline
- once finished, begin from the top and fix spelling and grammar (usually not a problem so this isnt necessary)
- paragraph by paragraph, fix word usage and other issues. once satisfied with a paragraph, underline it to indicate it is good to go. this usually involves running through the story 2 or 3 times
- anything that i still dont like the sound of, i put in bold, and then dump my problems on to Short Circuit
- once all bolded areas have been eliminated, run through the story again, looking for commas and making sure they are appropriately placed (excessive commas are a problem of mine that became a habit here on neoseeker).
- run through the story again, inspecting dialogue grammar (ie, quotation marks, and the commas/full stops at the beginning/end of speech)
- remove all underlines, and start from the top, inspecting sentence structure, and moving words around where necessary (to avoid repetitiveness, for example). underline each paragraph when done.
- send final copy to Short Circuit, and if he doesnt laugh at me, its good to go

im almost done with the next chapter. i think i can get it up in one or two days.

spent wayyyy too long working on this today. its 6 AM!

C6 is up!. contrary to what you just said now, kingy, this chapter was more serious and technical than the other chapters...something ill try to avoid doing too much. its pretty hard to get non fans to understand the story without them, though, so im in a bit of a difficult situation here.

next chapter is likely to be shorter.
