That's actually an old animation trick or running gag being used decades in animated shows, in which characters have an object appear or dissapear from behind their backs.

in this same episode, Twilight Sparkle does the same after reading the letter, after looking around to find a name on who's marrying, the letter goes around her back, and poof, gone.

Then Spike suddenly brings around his back the other letter, omg!

Simple way of just making somehting or getting rid of somehting.

Hell, even Solid Snake does it in MGS4, and that's a next gen graphic game, anyone notice how he always seems to pick up an M4 from somewhere, what about the railgun, it's the size of his body, yet he somehow has it in his arms out of nowhere in one scene.

And it seems normal for some reason, nobody is asking how he managed to carry that not visible around.


The Joker in Arkham City also does it, just pay attention to his left hand, he picks up a mirror from behind his back, and it also dissapears off screen.




I even see Lilo do it in Lilo and Stitch 2, in which she had a paper towel in her hands to dry Stitch off after being in the rain, her hand with the towel goes around her back, and then she turns around with empty hands, and there's no towel, and she's wearing a kimono, so there are no pockets to place it in.

It's basically a cheap way in animation to make somehting appear or disappaear and making it look like it's perfectly natural to make it happen like that.
And it's done that way for a very long time,a nd even now, they do it.

There were enough questions about Celestia, Luna, and alicorns before, but now that there's a third alicorn sister things get a little more complicated. How many of them are there, who are their parents, where did they come from?! And their longevity; Celestia and Luna are easily over a thousand years old, so how old is Cadence? She's bound to outlive Shining Armor. What kind of children would they have?


They really need to explore some of these things in season 3. They really need to give us more information on season 3!

Any Pony else find it odd that Twilight's parents arn't seen in the episode, like at all?

Was skeptical when the teaser images first appeared, but Cadence has grown on me a bit. Kinda hope she shows up again.

Also got a great laugh out of Pinkie sneezing confetti and streamers. Just a few things I didn't catch when I was rushing to watch it before work this morning.

Spike has no idea what a bachelor party is. He's so clueless.

cadence is fine, but it irritates me that she was likely made only as an answer to hasbros pinklestia problem. still, its for kids, so its understandable, but it does annoy me a little.

the pinkie sneeze was definitely another of those things that just made me laugh unexpectedly. shes so random! either that, or she snorts confetti to get a buzz...

as for spike, im not sure i liked that facial expression right at the end...season 3, episode 1: the hangover

i dont think thats how the genetics would work. considering the very low proportion of alicorns to everyone else, plus the very low proportion of males to females, i dont see it being impossible. its just that the likelihood is exponentially lower.
