They're poorly (or perhaps just strangely) animated - reminiscent of Ren And Stimpy, except they're made with flash - and use the same elements as Ren and Stimpy for most of their humor. So yeah, the idea is to gross you out and somehow amuse people with acts of brutality and cruelty. The first one wasn't bad, as it was just Applejack eating a bucket of apples and passing out. After that it became something that no human should be able to enjoy.
