NEWCASTLE SHOCK THE WORLD AFTER SIGNING DROGBA!
Newcastle shocked world footbal today after completing the signing of Didier Drogba. Drogba is expected to be used as an impact player from the bench with Demba Ba and Papiss Demba Cisse starting up front. Drogba will wear the number 29 shirt for Newcastle. We managed to catch up with him earlier.
Reporter: So Didier why did you decide to join Newcastle?
Drogba: Well Newcastle are a good team with high ambitions so i wanted to join to add my knowledge of the football world and help them achieve their goals.
Reporter: How many goals do you want to score this season?
Drogba: I am hoping to score at least 10 goals this season but it depends if i stay fit all season.
Reporter: And finally what are your thoughts on the signing of Thomas Vermaelen?
Drogba: He is a quality defender with Champions League experience so hopefully he can help organise the defence so we do not concede many goals.

Arsenal 2-0 A fairly comfortable start for Alan Pardew's men as Demba Ba scored from the penalty spot and 16 year old Raheem Sterling scored on his Debut to give Newcastle 3 points on the opening day of the season.
Sunderland 2-2 A dissappointing draw for Newcastle after giving away a 2-1 lead. Ba and Drogba scored for Newcastle.
Fulham 1-1 2 draws in a row makes it 5 points out of nine for Newcastle. Papiss Demba Cisse provided the goal.
Burton Albion 1-0 A very slender Victory over Burton Albion after a poor attacking display. Lucas Piazon scored his first goal for the club.

QPR 1-1 Another draw for Alan Pardew's men as Hatem Ben Arfa saves Newcastle from defeat in stoppage time.
Aston Villa 2-2 Yet another draw as a beautiful chipped goal in the last minute from Gabriel Agbonlahor stopped Newcastle from getting all three points. Demba Ba grabbed a brace.
Fulham 3-1 Back to winning ways as Newcastle Progresst to the 4th round of the League Cup with goals from Piazon and Drobga.
West Ham 2-1 Goals from Tiote and Ba secured all three points on a day where Newcastle could have score 5 or 6.

Reading 3-1 A comfortable win as Cisse finally ends his goalscoring draught with the other goals coming from Drogba and Ba.
Spurs 2-2 After leading 2-0 with goals from Ba and Cisse Spurs come back to steal a point on a dissappointing day for Newcastle.
Wigan 3-1 A good win for Newcastle as Ba furthered his scoring tally along with Lucas Piazon scoring his 1st Premier League Goal.
Peterborough 1-1 (lost on Penalties) Newcastle go out in the 4th round of the league cup as they lose on Penalties to Peterborough.
Stoke 2-1 Demba Ba scored twice as Newcastle came from behind to secure a victory that left them sitting in 5th place at the end of October.
