Will Villas-Boas have got the right players in for Wigan?

Today, with a month left of the transfer market, new Wigan manager, Andre Villas-Boas claims that the in comings and out goings this summer have now all been completed. Wigan have sold 9 players and have bought 4 and Villas-Boas believes that this squad can definitely secure the clubs Premier League status.

I am very pleased with the transfers this summer, i believe we have got rid of some 'dead wood' and replaced them with very good first team players who are bound to have an impact on if we can stay up this year. Camporese is a very young defender with good potential and will play along Caldwell. Wynne is so fast it's untrue! Brocchi will give us the stability and experience in midfield and Defoe will score plenty of goals. I am keeping some funds for January as i am not sure whether i should take a gamble on one of four players. Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, Michael Chopra and Gary Madine. I want to see how thing go this season before making offers - Andre Villas-Boas

Just built another insane Super League, using all four English leagues, as my last one was only the PL. Playing as Barca so its pretty strait forward.



Highlights of my first two seasons have been:

• Back to back league titles
• Getting 38m for Afellay
• Getting Neymar and Gotze for a combined fee of 110m, without breaking sweat
• Turning down Messi's transfer request
• Breaking Ronaldo's leg in an El Clasico
• Finding the gem that is Benatia, Ovr 84 Marking 94 St.Tackle 84 Sl.Tackle 92
• Forgetting i had Xavi on the bench... for a whole season
• Not bothering to use all that youth academy shit
• Realising ter Stegen overall is now 89
• Seeing Leeds win the Serie A

Into my third season with Crewe Alexander and still really enjoying it. Lead them into the Championship in two seasons after finishing top of nPower League 1 and 2. Not sure how this season will go, my league objective is to avoid relagation, which I hope I'll achieve easily. My main players are: J.Smith (77), Carlos Martinez (75), J. Sarpong (73), T. Hajnal (76) and possibly Schmidt (72). Most difficult challenge at the moment is doing anything with the lack of funds. I don't bother buying players from other clubs just yet as one transfer will use all my funds, so I try picking up quality Free Agents and get maybe 1 or 2 loans. I'm really trying to promote Nick Powell (60) as he has amazing potential, so I start him every game. The last two seasons he has been contributing nicely, but this season I feel it will be harder for him to have an impact with the higher standard. I have players who are better than him in his position such as Hajnal (76) but my focus is on him fulfilling his potential.

Anyway, I'd really recommend Crewe Alexander to anyone - loads of fun. I was offered a job at Wigan who are in the PL but I declined it as I plan to make Crewe into a top team.

Edit: So I have 21 players in my squad, two are suspended for the next game and I have 6 injuries so I have to forfeit the next game... what the phuck. :\

Second edit: This is actually *bleep*ed... I have 7 first team starters with long-term injuries.

Chelsea Mint FC I'd go for Bristol to be honest. I've tried in the past to bring a team up but sometimes, because of budget restraints, it's just too hard and I have to move on. It's almost impossible to build up a team without sufficient funding, you can't even sign a scout to try and work up your academy let alone try and bolster the first team.

Sometimes it's just the right time to move on.

Dodgy Transfer deadline day. nothing much happened. Except Balotelli to Bayern Munchen for £26 Million. Well, anyhow, February was another good month. Swansea held us to a 0-0 draw with Cullen and Vellios hitting the bar, and Seyi Olofinjana sent off. Koren recieved a second yellow card, and Cairney handballed. Then it was a 3-1 defeat at West Ham with Vellios scoring a consoation in the 87th minute, we then had a 1-0 victory at West Brom after Youth Sergio Vega pops in his second of the season. At long last, we played relegation battlers Bolton to pick up 3 points in a 2-1 win with Lambert and Vega, but Holden ruined our clean sheet dreams with a header. Man of the Month had to be Sergio Vega, after 2 goals this month in 2 games, for a 16 year old, that's pretty good.
