Fantastic, Martin Ling is the new manager at Hartlepool. In my opinion he was the best choice, he did brilliantly at Leyton Orient, made a team good enough for promotion with little funds available. I wonder who he will try and bring in? Personally I’m hoping for a few ex Orient players to come back. I remember when they had Wayne Gray, Adam Chambers and Gary Hooper tearing up League One. But I suppose Hartlepool aren’t exactly blessed with money. Ling will change Hartlepool for the better, the fans will get behind him and he will structure the club and maybe even have one eye set on a play off place this season. So far, I’ve only heard one transfer rumour. Which is that Birmingham City youngster Akwasi Asante has caught Martin Ling’s eye and he will maybe try and get him on a season long loan. I think he would be a good addition for the side, as he has pace and a good shot on him.
That’s all I have time for now, but in the next update, I will hopefully be able to tell you about a couple of new signings at Victoria Park. Thanks again for reading and I hope you're enjoying this.
fifa11isthebest erm, yeah i might do, its just i think it looks a little nicer with the smaller writing, and thank you. i do read everyones updates, even though i rarely post, I'm always scrolling down and reading everything. Also Careermode maybe try Leyton Orient, they have a good side, and a decent budget? there in League One. I would love it if someone did a career with them?
EDIT: Thanks supergini I'm just glad people are enjoying it, because i am, even when I'm writing it, its bringing back that days when i watched Leyton Orient...
Robzda if your using an image from google, theres an option that says, look for other sizes, and it will sometimes give you a smaller size of the same picture, just a thought , and thank you!
I would say Dean Cox, I rate him highly. They have a good squad, not a very big one though. I always find it hard to stay in the cup because players get tired.
When I woke up this morning I ran to the door, picked up a parcel, and opened it. Inside the parcel was a ticket to Hartlepool vs Palermo. WHOOOOP! I seriously cant wait, ill be able to do my first ever match report too! That put me in a good mood for the rest of the day, and when I was watching the tele earlier today, I saw Martin Ling announcing Akwasi Asante as a Hartlepool player, my face lit up. Hopefully ill get to see him in action in the preseason game. More news from Hartlepool is that they’re after a highly rated goalkeeper that is currently without a club. Now I have no clue who that could be, but hopefully this guy is as good as the club are making out. Also in other news, Martin Ling is trying to lure away an ex Orient player from a club. Well that could be anyone, but I’m sure we will find out in the next few weeks.
I was looking on the clubs website and it said something about Victoria Park being bought by another consortium. I hope this wont affect the club in any way. Apparently the atmosphere there is amazing. That’s all for now people, We will find out who the ex Orient man is very soon, I hope.

Well there's been a buzz in Hartlepool as the club signed John Smith, a Goalkeeper who has represented England 10 times. That’s a brilliant signing for a club like Hartlepool!
In other news, Luke Guttridge has completed his move from Aldershot Town to Hartlepool for a £250,000 fee. The player has signed a 4 year deal earning £850 per week. Guttridge has joined 2 days before the Palermo game, which has put a smile on my huge face. Now this will shock most of you, Hartlepool have offered a loan deal to Tamika Mkandawire. He is considered Millwalls best player. Well if he comes he will defiantly boost the Hartlepool defense. Also being a former Orient player, i am very happy!
Just a small update today, as the next update will be the match report. Wish me luck!

Guys I'm thinking about bringing my old Liverpool career back to life, its season 4 and I've just moved to Lazio, it will only be the big updates though, 3 a season, because of effort, anyone interested?
Hatlepool are controlling most of the possession, but just cant break down the Palermo defense. Guttridge is playing some cracking balls, and Boyd is working harder that anyone.
The Fulltime Report
Hartlepool 0-1 Palermo
Miccoli 78 (Pen)
Those bloody cheating Italian idiots. Well I was saying worse than that, but I don’t think you guys would like what I was saying, so I edited it down. Miccoli Dived! Everyone in the ground could see it! Hartlepool were playing brilliantly till then, we had had 7 shots on target, but their keeper was keeping everything out! Shows how he got man of the match.
Its an outrage! Football shouldn’t be like this, the ref didn’t have a clear view, so if he isn’t 100% sure it’s a penalty he shouldn’t give it. Anyway enough about the ref, how well did Hartlepool play, Boyd looked one of the best players out there, Guttridge was amazing as I thought he would be, I cant say i'm not happy with the performance, but lets get one thing straight. Italian football is rubbish.
