	Log in to remove this advertisement So in an attempt to open up some actual constructive discussion in this forum, discuss your favoured tactics and formations. I have used most of the default formations on the game, and a few custom ones, of the default ones, I find the 4-2-3-1 to be the best one to use for my style of play. One of the problems with most of the other formations in the game is that side midfielders are very hesitant to make forward runs, even if you adjust the sliders, for me the 4-2-3-1 addresses this imbalance, because the two 'wide' players are actual AM's and take up much better positions. Although I usually prefer playing with 2 straight strikers, having a CF behind a ST is very useful when playing online, I've had a lot of success with this formation when playing UT online, if your opponent isn't playing a CDM it makes it very hard for him to pick up your CF and you can find a lot of space. The main advantage of the formation is that it is set up for maximum ball retention and as long as you aren't rushing your passes, you can control the game, even against better players. I haven't really played around with the custom tactics outside of single player yet, but I'm looking to implement some CT into my online games, so I will experiment a bit and come back with anything I find useful. If anyone has any effective custom tactics for online I'm all ears.

	I have two teams in 4-4-2 on UT which I like to use. my problem with that formation is if your opponent has pressed you deep in your own half your strikers become isolated, not helped at all by the reluctant wingers. It's a hit and miss formation for me

	Jamesy does that sort of strategy work well when playing the better players? I can imagine it would overwhelm the not so good players, but it seems to be a bit of a gamble, especially when in UT everyone plays with super quick forwards on the counter

	Jamesy I took your advice and set my tactics to pressure and ultra offensive last night, and went on to win the bronze online UT tournament 3 times in a row =D so i think I'll be using that strategy from now on
