Requests, Feedback & Suggestions

Alright guys,

Thought I would open up a place to receive some RFS for the forum. Since the forum is still in it's relatively early days, it would be a good time to make any suggestions in terms of shaping the future of the forum. I would rather we planned ahead than a few months down the line some of you guys feel the forum has "went to shit", anything that's happened in the past forums that could be changed?

Last year the forum was ruined by people with lower than 50 posts tbh. and maybe have a seperate SOMS sub-forum?

Anything that might help bring a bit of community feel into here.

Competitions, forum events, games ect. They could all have positive effects if run properly enough. Perhaps also consider disabling guest posting. That can get a bit out of hand with FIFA forums.

Definitely be looking at introducing competitions when the game is released, best way to achieve the community feel is to encourage competitions. What kind of forum games and events did you have in mind dude?

As for guest posting, don't think we'll disable it just yet. Don't want to cut out guests just yet when we don't have problems with them at the current time. I have however, put a limit on guest posting, just in case we get a troublesome guest poster.

It can be annoying when newer members who aren't used to forums or Neoseeker start posting and it isn't of the greatest quality. Can't just limit it to people with lower than 50 posts though, we've all had below 50 posts at some point.

In regards to your SOMS sub-forum, it may be something to consider if the activity warrants it. Think we'll be looking to have a sub-forum for Ultimate Team as I don't think we want to have to trawl through pages of people asking for trades.

Will need to consider limiting some competitions to members who participate regularly, although it can be a bitch to get the numbers for some competitions and need to risk a few of these guys who sign up specifically for comps.

Sitewide ban for anyone who criticises boyd12 about being mod. These people havn't even given him a chance and there criticising him. Stop Bitching on about it and lay the topic to rest.

On the other hand, A seperate thread for people who cba with Soms and people who can.

It used to be good, especially with the rivalry between the 2 forum club teams, until it was stopped because some people couldn't handle the banter

But even after that it was still alright, we had awesome tournaments and the fantasy thing run by Sweeney, until people started being lazy and dropped out. I have no doubt that regulars would be reliable. The thing last year with people like Jamesy joining was the perfect example. There were PS3 players and then 360 players in the same tournament, and most of the 360 guys were idiots, didn't play their games and caused the whole thing to fail.

But without that, there was no reason to come to the forum, and hardly anyone did. Unless you wanted to see SOMS which no one actually cares about at all, or some loser guest going on about his UT team.

I know Wilbz would like to start up a competition when the game is released.

Other ideas I have would be Goal of the Month,Draft Leagues and Head to Head Seasons

I doubt there's even enough quality posters/reliable people to finish a competition on here anymore. But having said that, these mods surely can't do any worse than that mong we had last year.

Hoping to be a bit more involved in UT this year, despite probably not getting the game itself until Christmas. Look forward to that more than anything, Goal of the Week competitions will be good too.
