Retro Characters?

well I would count mr.g&w and rob more as bonus characters or nintendo history characters,since they aren't really video game characters themselves(mr.g&w wasn't a real character before and rob isn't even from a video game)

But anyway I think Takamaru is quite likely.
He got a lot of cameos recently(like for example in nintendo land) and sakurai said he would like it if takamarus series got revived(which he also said about Kid icarus)

This is a very interesting thread, Swampasaur.

I think ROB, Ice Climers, and Mr Game and Watch wont go as far as being axed, but they could be moved to assist trophies for other retro characters or even newcomers.

I'm just saying it could happen, there are alot of great character ideas out there, and some of them could be used.

Lets not forget Ice Climers, Mr Game and Watch, and ROB are retro characters and unlike Pit who had a revival game that made him no longer a retro character, these 3 hadn't, nor do they seem like they have any upcoming revival games.

Also there are other retro characters they might want to include.

Well since they want to go for a smaller roster this time I think it is possible,that the ice climbers and maybe ROB get axed(G&W got a revival more or less since there is the g&w gallery for the ds).
I mean there isn't much place for newcomer anyway,so it isn't that unlikely that they'll cut some people(or make them version exclusive if they'll do that)
