Maximum Character Cap in Super Smash Bros. 4

Looking back, the first Smash Bros. had 14 characters in it. Melee had 20-something characters. Brawl had 35 or so. So how many characters do you think will feature in SSB4? Personally, I'd like as many characters as the engine developing the game can accommodate. Meaning if that's so, some 100 characters could feature in the next game! but that's wishful thinking, since there are some other factors to consider, like the stages, story mode and other content. So I believe around 75 characters may feature in the next game. I'm going to list as many as I possibly can, and repliers can do similar as well. The cast can include 3rd-parties as well (Stupid character idea alert...). So, here we go...

Not only is that a major factor, but the development team has to spend a lot of time on each character. They have to create moves, make models, think of animations, tweak the characters for balancing, etc.

I think 75 characters is way to much. 40-45 characters seems to be a lot better and more reasonable.

75 will not happen I mean 40 newcomers is extremely unlikely.
Sakurai said already that he would prefer a roster close in size to brawls roster,he would see the charme of games with a large roster(like 50 characters),but he wants to go for quality and not quantity this time.

A roster of around 40-45 characters in SSB4? Ooh, looks like the slots for potential newcomers is gonna be quite tight... Well, I did hear that Sakurai wanted a roster that is as big as Brawl's, but since he's got the whole of 2013 (and a development team known for fighting game talent) to tune it up, some things might be likely to change. And I believe that Swampasaur was quite unfamiliar with some characters in my roster; like Kurthnaga. Kurthnaga is a character in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, and he's the Prince (well, was the Prince... now he's the leader) of the dragon laguz tribe. And you know up to 5 people with the name "Saki"? Sorry I didn't state the name of the games the characters come from, but the Saki I mentioned comes from Sin & Punishment. And about Golden Sun's Mia, GaTheZakk... I believe she's more a supporter than fighter, in the sense that she specializes in HP and status recovery Psynergy than offensive Psynergy. In contrast to Piers, who knows highly offensive Psynergy like Diamond Berg and Supercool.

Because that's the word that describes Mia in my book, especially if she's Guru class adept spamming Pyroclasm, attacking with Lachesis Rule, attacking with Hail Prism, being Alex's cousin, summoning Iris, this all makes Mia a boss.

Piers is cool, but he's not a boss because he's not even as good of Water adept as Amiti, who is better at using Diamond Berg than Piers, let alone Mia or Alex, who are in a higher teir than Piers.

Piers has a dumb name

His name isn't any better in Japan because that makes him Picard from fricken Startrek

Uh-huh... but any player can summon Iris! And Hail Prism isn't a move she can necessarily use unless some Jupiter Djinn are given to her. Same goes for Piers.

Sorry that at this point in time, I don't know who Amiti is. Alex's powers aren't displayed much in the games, and by "higher tier", do you mean Mia's more powerful than Piers?
