I'm thinking there may be a chance tbh. I know it has sounded for a while about Capcom moving away from Mega Man but their senior VP said yesterday to be patient for a 3DS Megaman game:

So if there is a Mega Man game being made, his chances may look a bit better than impossible.

I wouldn't take anything capcom says says to heart since they are kings when it comes to pr bullshit. They always say vague crap like that and it never leads to anything except to keep the hopeful hoping for something they have no intentions of doing. As far as I'm concerned until capcom releases a new MM game the series is dead. They've cancelled plenty of series in the past, even threatened to cancel resident evil at one point. Best case scenario the series is "hibernating" which means cancelled until a decade or so where capcom is willing to try again like what they did with street fighter and that's best case sadly.

I would love to have soul reapers (reepers) from bleach to be in it or some hell girl parts (now that i am still having thoughts about..)

True. But it was a little buggy and I want to with out a glitch.

wart is some kind of frog,he isn't even a real mario character,since the game was originally not a mario game(but well that also goes for shy guys)
If I remember correct the whole game was a dream,so it isn't even sure if wart is a real character in the mario series or was just a nightmare for mario.

And no there is no known connection to bowser

Maybe Mario's 8 bit classic look (8 bit graphics and all ) could be a alternate costume, Lightning theif.

They could put 8 bit graphic costumes in, Game and Watch is 8 bit, therefore it is possible.

So speaking of 2d, get ready for this, if 8 bit graphic costumes are possible, then why not put Paper Mario as a alternate costume for Mario too.

Same goes with any other character that has a 8 bit sprite, why not use them?

Paper Mario would have completely different abilities.

Or even Link's horse, Epona?

They put Bulblin riding his boar, Bullbo in Brawl, why not put Malon riding Epona as a cameo?
