Purely Awesome- release date

There is absolutely no credibility to this, other than the imagination of plausibility coined from myself and you who read this....


How great would it be for this game to be a release title?
That this whole 'released the announcement it too soon' was a marketing gimmick, and SSB4 was actually ready for the release of the Wii U*. That is to say, that the system would be LAUNCHED with a great title for the first time since Super Mario 64 in the mid 90s. Nintendo has suffered a LOT of heartache from this complaint for years, most notably with the 3DS. Their rectification of this horror could be solved if SSB4 were released with the Wii*, and since Nintendo is amongst a huge string of trying to rectify past mistakes (Project Blue, for example, being nearly put to the lay side), the notion from which this thread was born seems ALMOST believable.

*of course, the game would have had to have been in development for a while now, for this to be the case. Or else, it could be a crappy sequel to Brawl, with just more characters, etc. I wouldn't mind, if it meant next years' release.

This game was announced before any in-game models or concept was created for it, so I doubt it'll be a launch title. And judging by how Nintendo likes to delay Smash Bros games, we won't see it for a while after the Wii U's release.

Sakurai hasn't started any work on this game and will not until Kid Icarus is finished. Kid Icarus doesn't come out until January 2012 so you can't expect any work done on this game until then. This game is not being released in 2012. We'll be lucky if it's out in 2013.

It's also supposed to be relesed on the WiiU, and the 3DS is supposed to conect with the WiiU, somehow, don't ask me how but, somehow it will.....

ah i hope they start on this soon, if they haven't done so already
i'm already so hyped up that there's going to be a super smash brothers for the ds!!

No disagreement. What I disagree with is the extreme mismanagement on Nintendo's end of the timetable and fan response; far too frequently they are delaying games, without any learning of their past mistakes in the same fashion.

So i didn't even read all the comments on this but is there actually any proof that there was going to be a super smash for the 3DS?
