Halo 4 Wishlist

A swift price drop so I can feel justified in purchasing it.

I think on amazon this year its around £40 but its soon to drop around a month after release.

I don't buy many games, but Halo is one of the few worth the $60 IMO. And with each edition, it seems you get more bang for you buck. This time around, you practically get two campaigns with the introduction of Spartan Ops.

Anyway, I'd like to see Forge improvements. It's still nowhere near its potential.

As much as I love Halo or any game for that matter, the prices are too high for me when they are released.

I don't want them to mess up the story line, have a decent amount of levels, legendary to be extremely difficult and not drag it on too much, I mean I'm glad it's a new trilogy, but three more games? That's a lot and I hope they don't release one every year.

Well I don't believe a new trilogy is too much. I mean as long as they promise on it being a whole new story. I could understand dragging it out being an issue if they continued the same story arc, but it's not. They are simply utilizing the universe and characters already established to create a whole new story arc. And you can count on it not being a yearly release. I know a lot of Halo players hate on Call of Duty, but the only reason Call of Duty does an annual release is because Activision is trying to turn it in to the Madden of shooters, which if you ask me, it's not worth picking the newest one up every year, but perhaps every other year.

Back to the point, it will not be a yearly release. As seen in the behind the scenes footage shown before, 343i is putting their absolute best efforts forward on this game. It is not simply the same game with different weapon and character skins with slightly modified coding. It is a total revamping of the game. This requires a hell of a lot more time than just a year to do. Plus they already mentioned Halo 5 being on the newest xbox. Besides the storyline, and maybe some theories of what they can do on the new system, I don't see the developers spending too much time on Halo 5 'til after, maybe even well after, Halo 4's release.

As for the price, I would say 60$ is well worth it considering what it took to create this game, the content that comes with the game, and the replay value you will be getting out of it. If you're going to pay 60$ for a game, why not it be on a game that promises new free DLC every week that continues a promisingly amazing storyline?

Anyways, my Halo 4 wishlist is simple, and in truth has shrunk since information on the new game has been coming out:

- Color editor, terrain editor(more likely this will not happen to Halo on the x-box), and possibly multiple forge worlds with different landscapes.
- Potential for creating a successful Cats and Mice game type (been on my wishlist since Halo 2 -.-)
- Community to return to its former glory.
- More community based matchmaking.
- I want to use one of the mechs... just once

A thought just occurred... why not put forge on a completely separate disc? Then they COULD fit a terrain editor... just a thought.

Similar pre-order bonus to BF3 where you get the first set of maps free, although that's likely never going to happen.

My only concern is that the focus is more on the campaign. Don't get me wrong, I love playing multiplayer on Halo, I just worry how some games are more focused towards the online aspect rather than a compelling story and campaign.

I think that everything that has been announced so far is great (though B for crouch doesn't fit for me) though I can think of two things that I want.

AI in forge (Covie, UNSC, Flood, etc). I've been wanting this since Halo 3 came out. plus, with AI (preferably programmable for the sake of Machinima) you can make firefight for those who don't want to wait for Spartan Ops updates.

the ability to put you gun away. I don't mean down like in Red vs Blue, or drop it like that glitch/trick in Reach. I mean if you only have one weapon on hand, press Y and your guy will put it on his back (or holster for his magnum) and hold nothing in his hands. this would be great for Machinima as characters would finally be able to pick up a gun without having already been holding it or something, creating means for a better video.
