I guess they could, talking about The Pit, simply make that fence looking over what I believe is an airfield a wall... now it is an armory!!

The ship is able to create virtual environments. In theory, it should be able to simulate anything.

Now that is just cheating.

It would be pretty lame if every map took place on the actual ship, just for the sake of canon. The holodeck-type room gives them a good excuse.

How about the balls to two wheel the warthog on one side of the tracks with it? We did for a bit as a tactic, if you had good speed going into it your momentum can get you half way there. Did this until we got hit by train in the opposite direction and the flag bounced back into their base.

Valhalla (H3) , my favorite and much better than Hemmorage/Coagulation (The Reach one).

I loved the massive vehicle maps that actually got the Gauss Hog and Scorpion.

That's what made that map exciting. The rush of hoping that you can make it across quickly enough before you get screwed over in an objective map. But the spawn camping inside of the garage was freaking awful.

I always enjoyed playing on guardian, it was great for a marathon multi team battle.

Icedevil - Yeah, I've never cared for Blood Gulch/Coag either. I know a lot of people like playing it to just *bleep* around in customs, but in matchmaking it's quite frustrating. You always feel defenseless if you don't have a tank, a sniper, or a really good Warthog driver. Basically that forces everyone to camp behind the teleporters or at the bases.

I disagree about Valhalla though, it was an excellent map IMO. The hill in the middle and its narrower design made fighting on foot more viable. The Spartan Laser and the Missile Pods made you think twice about grabbing a vehicle when your team didn't have weapon control. I think it's the closest a Halo map has gotten to balancing vehicles and on-foot gameplay. It was a really good Team Snipers map too, maybe my favorite.

Well that could happen on any large map given if there are those vehicles there. I tend to favor larger maps versus smaller maps, hence why I have Big Team Battle and Objective games.

Only good thing on Swordbase was one flag CTF, and maybe Stockpile, the rest was atrocious. Against competent people it was simply impossible to break top green lift set up, and odd ball favoured red team spawns waaay too much.
