	Log in to remove this advertisement So for 3 Games with Master Chief and 1 game with an ODST, You did not have it. But in Reach, you had it for some reason. SO: Halo: CE = Master Chief - Mark 5, No Bloom. Halo 2 = Master Chief - Mark 6. No Bloom. Halo 3 = Master Chief - Mark 6, No Bloom. Halo 3: ODST = Human ODST - No Bloom. Halo: Reach = Noble 6/Lone Wolf - Mark 5, Has Bloom. So How the bleep does Master Chief not have it and every other spartan (In Mark 5) does? But my point is is that I think Bloom should not be in 4, cuz it was not in 1-3, and to magically have it would be bleeping retarded. ------------------- If God had wanted you to live, Then He would not have created me!

	Bloom was implemented for one reason in Reach, and that was due to the fact that Bungie were making their default mid-range weapon a hit scan again. Because they wanted to appeal to their paraplegic, pray and spray, assault wielding, casual fanbase who were bitching about how BR was overpowered. So they decided to implement a semi-auto mechanic in order to stop people sniping across the map with it. What they failed to realise is that BR already had an in built random spread implemented, so people didn't do that in the previous games, hell even CE Pistol had it. It just wasn't show as an oscillating reticle in the HUD. Bloom would have worked out if they actually executed it correctly, and actually punished people for spamming. Bringing game canon is absolutely pointless into this discussion, as it is all based purely on the physics engine they are going to go with in Halo 4. 	I agree that if they keep it in they need to make it actually work. People who spray and pray will always out shoot you at any kind of short range and it's unfair. The bullet should go on an absolute random vector if you spam it, meaning you'll most likely miss completely if you spam it. I would say that it is due to the character being a Spartan 3 and not the immovable bulk that is a Spartan 2. And also partly due to the engine.

	The way I've seen the DMR explained is Short range=lay on the trigger. Medium range=let up a bit, but still shoot a little faster than you need to. long range=for the love of god, pace your shots. 	I never ever ever ever get a headshot unless my bloom is dead centered. If there were dedicated servers for Halo 4, that probably wouldn't be an issue. 	I agree with what Icedevil is saying. Even though it's hitscan, having host still seems to give a great advantage. I never seem to pull host, but on the off chance I do, Reach becomes a completely different game. Shit just works magically for you. Seriously, try doing a LAN with a few buddies and you'll all feel like you're pro killing in five shots pretty consistently. IMHO the people who don't mind the bloom are simply the ones that don't notice whenever they're screwed over by it. Either that, or it actually works in their favor like in that video Icedevil posted. That guy had the other players head lined up on the very edge of the reticle and was still hitting. -------------------

The DMR is easily one of the most versatile guns in the game nevertheless, you should try using it if you can. I think Halo 4 won't have bloom anyway. The DMR is easily one of the most versatile guns in the game nevertheless, you should try using it if you can. That's why I don't like using the DMR. It doesn't have a specific role. You can either spam it like a madman at close and what normal people call mid range, or pick your shot at what I call mid and long range. I prefer weapons that are difficult to use outside of their intended role, like the AR, Sniper, Shotgun, and Rocket Launcher. Just to name a few.
