Darksiders II will be receiving its second bit of downloadable content before month's end, Vigil Games revealed today. Behold, Darksiders II: Abyssal Forge, a new add-on that will send Death deep into yet another dungeon to face new challenges. As the story goes, the Abyssal Forge is a living machine that draws power from the Abyss, and it was created by a Maker referred to as the "Mad Smith". Not surprisingly, the other Makers shunned him for his work, and he was sealed away in the Shadow Lands with his creation. Given that they didn't kill him, however, he's spent the ages constructing an army of his own.
The "Abyssal Forge" add-on, according to Vigil, has been "tailored toward the most competent Darksiders II players," featuring some of the toughest puzzles and enemies Death has yet to face.
Due for release on PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 on October 30, Abyssal Forge comes about a month after the first DLC, Darksiders II: Argul's Tomb, and will be priced slightly higher at 800 Microsoft Points or $9.99, depending on your platform of choice. Here's hoping it's longer than Argul's Tomb too, which fell a bit short of expectations.
Europeans with PS3s can expect Abyssal Forge on October 31.
