Well, Metro fans, the next Metro: Last Light DLC has been detailed and dated. Next month, the game will be getting the "Developer Pack," which happens to include a number of features an the "Spiders Nest" solo mission. Ew.
The new mission basically sends you through a "spider infested catacomb," armed with a lighter, your torch, and the new Flamethrower weapon. Thank goodness for small blessings and big weapons. Just don't get stuck in the dark with these eight-legged monstrosities; spiders in Last Light probably aren't as squishable as the ones we see every day.
Spider Nest mission aside, the Developer Pack also includes three other features, one of which lets you play around with character creation in the AI Arena.
- AI Arena: Allows players to pit customisable squads of human soldiers and mutants against each other or prove themselves in several challenges.
- Experiment with every gun and attachment combination in the Shooting Range, and complete unique marksman challenges for each weapon.
- Explore Metro's cast of characters, plus human and mutant enemies, up close in the Metro Museum.
The "Developer Pack" will be out September 17 in North America, then September 18 in Europe. All three platforms will get the DLC on the same day, so don't worry about waiting just because of your preference.
The price is pretty much just your standard $3.99 / £3.19 / €3.99, like the other DLC pack. All that's left now is the "Chronicles Pack" coming out soon, which adds three new single-player missions and lets you play as other characters.
