Square Enix has confirmed that the original Agent 47 voice actor will be lending his voice talents in the latest Hitman installment, Hitman Absolution.
Following a lengthy search for a voice actor -- and stating that he wouldn’t be making a return -- Square Enix believes David Bateson is the perfect candidate for the role.
Bateson has been the voice of Agent 47 in every iteration of the Hitman franchise ever since the IP's inception in 2000. Hitman brand director Jon Brooke said on his return:
"IO and Bateson have been bed fellows for over a decade and like all long running relationships sometimes absence makes the heart grow fonder. Looking back I think we were just playing hard to get."
The publisher also announced that Lost's William Mapother has provided the motion capture work for Agent 47.
