If you want to change the icons at any point to freshen it up a bit, all you need to do is change the url bits in the html and you can keep the rest the same.

okay guys, so i had my 18th birthday earlier this month, and as a late present, today i got to drive around porsches as part of a driving experience course thingo, and for free (mum's best friend's husband runs the whole thing).

can i just say that today has been the best day of my life. i'm not even a motorhead, and it was so exhilarating!! *bleep*! i drove pretty much all of the range (rain didn't let us have a go in the GT); 911, boxter, cayenne, panamera, and i think there was one more.

there were 4 main sections; skid pan, braking exercises, circuit, and time trial.

the skid pan was basically making yourself spin out and attempting to recorrect it, on a wet track (although it rained all day so it was already wet enough). that was insane, the power in the cars is so far past the only car i have ever driven before, which is my mum's honda jazz! haha.

braking exersices were cool, crazy how fast they can stop.

i was kinda nervous about driving these $200,000 cars around the circuit, because it wasn't an open race track. the whole facility was situated at a place called Mt. Cotton, and the circuit itself was surrounded by trees and steep ditches. all was good though, the cars are so stable, and i reached speeds of 170 down the straight. one of the cars was a twin turbo i think, and holy shit, when you put your foot down it is the *bleep*ing best experience.

and then there was the time trial, which was set out in witches hats on a large area. it was also in the wet, and was pretty cool.

overall, it would have cost around $1300 if i didn't get it as a birthday gift, but it is definitely worth it. even if i did spent that, i would not have left disappointed. not one bit. there were even guys there that have porsches that paid just to test them at the limits. goes to show that there's not much point buying one unless you're financially deranged. D:

but seriously, i had a good day.

I'm 18 in two weeks

So annoyed I'm going to miss most of the Euros, *bleep*ing Leaving Cert.

My last test is on the 15th the day after the Spain match

Personally I have a week until my Year 1 Uni exams (which are going to be a disaster), and then I've finished the first year which is cool. 5-6 months holiday? Yes please!

study leave in a week, last exam in 6 weeks. now I need to find something to do after A-Levels...
