Hit an awful run on my Liverpool game which saw me go out of the FA Cup to Wolves on penalties while we finished runners-up to PSV in our Europa League group after a 2-2 draw against them at Anfield and then a 1-1 draw against PAOK away. Went into January 4th by 2 points, signed Benzema (£40million), Castro (£9million), Guardado (£7million), Salvio (£12million) and Michel (£650'000) as well as releasing Wisdom and calling up Fatecha to the first-team. Was unable to shift Doni, Adam and Bellamy so stuck with them, while I'm also pursuing the sales of Carroll, Downing, Kuyt, Henderson and Skrtel. Also sold Glen Johnson to Sevilla for £16million.
Played 4 more matches in the league, won all 4 and have opened up a 9 point gap over 5th placed Man Utd, 3 points off Arsenal who lead the way and 2 points behind both Man City and Chelsea in 2nd and 3rd.

Chelskiman I remember he was incredibly highly rated on FM08, became one of the best goalkeepers in the world iirc. I watched him in some FA Cup match for Accrington on TV a few years back and tbh he didn't look great

I too just set up a Master League last night, as I mentioned in the Help & Advice thread in discussing League Structure. I'm not sure whether I'll be playing Master League or Become A Legend more, but I'll try and keep both going if possible, as I'm almost at the end of my university year now, so aside from a bit of coursework and a few exams, I'll have much more time than at any point since the game's come out to really sink my teeth into it.

As a fan of the Master League Super Leagues, I selected the Spanish Primera Division for the top league, and I used the League Structure options to set Division 2 up as the following:

Arsenal
Aston Villa
Bayern Munich
Benfica
Chelsea
Fiorentina
Inter Milan
Juventus
Lazio
Liverpool
Manchester City
Manchester United
Napoli
Porto
Roma
Sporting Lisbon
Tottenham Hotspur

A.C. Milan were also in there, but as I selected Barcelona as my team to start with in Division 2 with the default players, Milan were promoted to Division 1 from the start, which seems fair enough, as they're the best side in the game statistically. This should be an interesting way of playing the game, as the top sides will quickly snap up Barca's players, making them even stronger, and as a team of default players in a very strong second division, it should take me some time to build up the strength to fight for promotion. Even then, as Division 2 becomes steadily weaker, and Division 1 becomes steadily stronger, even when I succeed in getting promoted, I will have one hell of a fight on my hands to stay there. Needless to say, it's an interesting take on it that I'm looking forward to starting. I'll post up any pre-season details and signings when I have chance to take care of them.
