Gun Choice: Why does everyone feel the need to use the ACR?

Try the other assault rifles. You may find one you like. The G36C is a monster with the silencer and a RDS (It's irons suck) as long as you just tap the trigger at medium-long range. The first 2-3 bullets are on target, then it goes wild, so just tap it.

Do you really need a secondary that's better than most SMG's? I honestly can't look past the simplicity and fast draw of the .44 Mag. The only time you'll need your side-arm is when you run out of bullets mid gun-fight, where chances are, 1 or 2 .44 Magnum bullets will drop the guy. Let's face it though, how often do you run out of bullets mid gun-fight?



Perks: Unless you're blind or using an LMG with iron-sights you don't need Marksman. Recon Pro's good, especially if you're playing with others who use it, and are liberal with your bullets, even taking shots where you probably won't kill the guy.

If you're using Hardline it's senseless to use Assassin as your first specialist. Use Assassin, that way you have Assassin at the start of the game, and then use Quickdraw, Scav and Stalker.



Equipment: Semtex/Frags are pointless. They're too all over the shop to rely on. Start using C4 and double tapping to detonate while in the air.

Tac Inserts is up to you. They're good for keeping the pressure on objectives, but you can't go past stuns or flashes for shutting the door on objectives (shutting the door = capturing a point, and throwing your stuns/flashes at the most likely path the enemy will come from to dissuade them.)



Those are my thoughts. Oh, and grenade launcher, don't be that guy. They're pointless 90% of the time, and no-one likes you even if you do get a kill with it.

i dont really understand why people have to use the ACR 99% of the time on everything... and with a grenade launcher to boot.

dude, have some fun with the game, go knife only, deagle only, use the PM9, the bad guns, dont just use the most overpowered/overused stuff in the game and expect to not be criticized.

sorry if im ranting/ complaining too much, but this is part of the community that i really dont like, same goes for corner campers.

It was OU in MW2 as well, bud. The only other CoD it's been in. But no, you use it because you likely have terrible aim and because it has no recoil.


The Mk-14 isn't much better in this game. 75 bullet damage and no fire-cap? Ridiculous.



I tried people, I really did. I gave constructive feedback on how to make a killer Dom/Demo class, but he just turned it around into some terrible ACR-Anti-Air hybrid that's good at nothing.

My main Dem class is

Spas with EM and Damage
MP9 for long shot kills

C4 to get people off the bomb
Portable Radar to show me when people are on the bomb

SoH
Assassin
Steady Aim

Specialist
Scavenger
QuickDraw
Blast Shield

Why do you keep bugging him on picking the ACR? Maybe he's used every other weapon and that's his favourite? Not everyone who uses it is instantly attracted to it for the lack of recoil.

Who said it needs something? Not everyone will use the best weapons all the time. The guy has already said he uses it because he's used too it. And regardless of what you think of that reasoning, there's no point moaning about it.

Guy's, quit bashing on the guy because of his gun choice. Yes, he did ask for thoughts on the class which yes, does include the gun but you don't need to tell him off for using it. People will use what gun they want.

As for me, I use the ACR with Extended Mags.

Primary: ACR 6.8 w/Extended Mags (Prof: Stability)
Secondary: Akimbo Skorpion's
Lethal: C4
Tactical: Flash Grenade
1st Perk: Recon Pro
2nd Perk: Hardline pro
3rd Perk: Marksman Pro
DeathStreak: Hollow Point

You could use the Akimbo FMG9's for the secondary if you want, but meh. I make classes to cover all ranges. The ACR has great long rage capabilities and akimbo machine pistols are great at close range. Recon is probably one of the most powerful perks in the game, coupled with Flash Grenades you can easily get painted enemies to appear. Hardline (pro) will give you a kill for every 2 assists, which happen often such as when you flash people and someone else get's them. Marksman makes it easier to get people out at longer ranges since my eye sight isn't that good.

You can use whatever strike loadout you want, really. I stick to Support/Assault more than Specialist.
