	Log in to remove this advertisement Right, someone who knows their shit about networking and what not please shed some light on this. After doing a few speedtests, my d/l is around the 32/33mb mark and my u/l is 3.5mb, and in July will be getting doubled to 60mb which by UK standards isn't too shabby. But more importantly, I want to talk about ping. I live in the North of England, and in the ping test, I was connected to a server in the South of England and my ping was only 21ms which isn't too shabby. So then, why does MW3's matchmaking fail to get me in lobbies that ping less than 50ms and if I'm lucky, I'll get into 75ms ping games? It's pretty frustrating to be honest, especially when you see even English commentators having it easy mode simply because they get spot on hit detection cos of being able to get in less than 50ms ping games, not putting anything against their map knowledge/aiming/reactions etc. It's not as if it's my internet either, as I could get in 50ms ping games in MW2 and BO. -------------------

	Good connections are skewed. You're put in lobbies that usually have a <75 cuz of how the game is set up. I usually get put in 50's or 100's during the day since I live in the backwood of nowhere. Basically put it down to the fact that people bitch moaned about host connection/people with good connections senselessly beating people with shitty ones so people with good connections get screwed over. ------------------- I'll be your sweetheart~

	Hmm but surely the majority of the big Youtubers atleast are gunna have good connections themselves yet they aren't getting screwed over as much. Sure, they still suffer from getting shot around a corner the insta-death where they don't even get a red danger screen, but at least their hit detection is still spot on. -------------------

	It's the lag compensation shit, right? I get done over often for my connection, especially at night time for some reason. I was at a mates earlier, he was host and it took stupid amounts to kill enemies.

The lag comp in this game isn't done well, and that gives you problems in-game, but it turns out the main problem is the actual matchmaking itself, the shittly coded lag comp just makes it worse. -------------------

Last weekend it was getting to horrendous by the time it got round to dinner, but during the morning and most of the afternoon it was fine. Today I played though, and I'm not having trouble getting into 75s at least. And just note that I play with the DLC turned on, which I assume lowers the number of matches I can get into. I think they must have done something to the game tbh. I thought everyone backs out if matchmaking fails to put them in a 75ms ping lobby etc if they know their connection is better than that? I've always done that, not stop searching lobbies untill I get into a 75ms at the most. -------------------
