To mirror what Whelan and Matt1234567 said I’d try BF3.

I will agree with them and say it is a far less frustrating and far more varied game. The vehicle combat, high numbers of players, massive maps and destructible environments add a whole new dimension to FPS gameplay. I don’t even play COD anymore.

It does take a while to adjust and at first everyone you come up against will have not just better weapons and more experience, but they will have better equipment, perks and available tactics. No-one goes into BF games a pro but you can learn the ropes quickly if you attach yourself to a decent squad and support them.

And also, Rude_Boy_Loves_SKA mentioned that BF3 is better played with a regular team. Though that is very true, it’s not impossible to enjoy the game as a lone wolf. You just have to accept that role and help out where you can. Playing alone can be awesome if you treat yourself as a sort of ninja-esque infiltrator by picking off high value enemies, sabotaging/stealing enemy equipment or vehicles and capturing unguarded bases.

Words of warning though, make sure you have at least 3 or 4 GB of free hard drive space (maybe more). BF3 comes with lots of extra downloads and patches which actually add up to one hell of a lot of hard drive space.

I don't know who has said that, except for maybe super-hardcore Battlefield fans.
But you can't please the superfans, anyway.

And BF3 is the one people are playing, so it's the one I'd recommend.
Maybe it's because it's the first numbered Battlefield with a story (the other ones were multiplayer-only, and Bad Company was more of a spinoff).
